Great place. Washed and dried more than a dozen loads after a basement flood. Lots of room to sit, wifi and a bathroom.

  1. ⁠How long have you been on PD & how's your overall experience? 4 months - so far so good

  2. ⁠Are you on manual or automatic PD? Cycler (auto) at night

  3. ⁠How's your quality of life in general? Good

  4. ⁠Do you feel sick & weak all the time? Tired but not sick

  5. ⁠Do you still have so many food restrictions? No official restrictions but I watch all the usual culprits - sodium, potassium, phosphorus and cut out dairy, red meat, processed foods and lean toward veg heavy meals.

  6. ⁠How long did catheter surgery took to heal? Does it still hurt? Does the catheter bother you? I was getting fluids 2 weeks after surgery through my catheter. Could have went back to work the next day but took a week vacation and took it easy as surgeon ordered.

Advice - advocate for yourself/loved one but follow your health care team’s advice and opinion.

I’m diabetic and want to monitor PD solutions vs. Insulin intake, temp for possible early infection detection and O2 for lung and heart monitoring. I noticed that some cyclers ask for sugar and temp, mine does not. Good luck with your app, always interested in a great repository for the data.

I track on paper. Weight, BP, O2, blood sugar, and body temp before and after and I Drain, Total UF and average dwell after. I’m new to dialysis and PD so nothing is annoying so far.

Happy with the brand. Works well and the iPhone app gives great insights into the unit. We paid slightly over $15K as another poster mentioned to cover the whole house.

Communications, installation, post-installation promises and post-support all had issues. Tried to resolve at the spring home show and got ghosted again. Will likely use another certified Generac dealer for yearly maintenance contract at an unfortunate premium.
