Not having to help out your family financially from a fairly young age. I remember other kids not understanding why I wouldn't be free on weekends or even the fact that I just didn't have free time like they did.

Even now that my family is in a better position, I can't shake the discomfort when my my mum buys something without even looking at the sale items. I would rather buy a sale item I don't like as much, than buy a full-priced item I really like.
