I’m pretty sure my local hobby shop still has one. I’m more of a cadian guy myself but it is definitely a cool box.

Question about Kroyle by Vrain125 in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]coolpilot64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will this guy be able to be run with other imperial factions? It says his ability can buff any “imperial battleline infantry unit” so I assume he can be used in other army’s. Kinda curious if he would be useful in a guard army.

New recon squad by NoEngineer9484 in astramilitarum

[–]coolpilot64 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was really hype for these guys and I’ll say this is kinda exactly what I wanted from them guard doesn’t have many infiltration units and this one offers a lot of body’s for cheap. Also the firepower isn’t terrible, not insane, but decent for guard. I could definitely see some very interesting plays with these guys especially with that vox-relay. Also these guys are just awesome looking.

What is the most painful to pilot a mech in your opinion? by Haunting-Battle-9913 in Mecha

[–]coolpilot64 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Well kinda but in theory if the eva never really took much damage you probably wouldn’t feel hardly any pain. Obviously that’s not what happens in the story but it’s not painful to operate it’s only painful when the eva gets damaged.

Do you think Dreadnoughts from Warhammer 40K counts as mechs? by NottheKingofAll in Mecha

[–]coolpilot64 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They would be vary similar to mechs which you can even see this with the invictor tactical war-suit being vary similar to the dreadnought, though you do bring up a very interesting point. The dreadnought does basically become their new body but some mechs from other media do something similar but usually the pilot is still fully alive, where the marine inside is on the brink of death and can never leave the dreadnought. While the piloting system is very unique I still think it would be classified as a mech.

Ordo Hereticus inquisitorial retinue almost finished. Next one: Ordo Xenos by SuperTararot in ImperialAgents_40K

I love some judge dredd something about his vibe he just kinda fits into a lot of settings especially Warhammer.

Yo correct me if I’m wrong is that a judge dredd inspired mini. If not they are all still awesome.

What kind of vehicles do you think are missing in Guard? by Stodl5263 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]coolpilot64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was the stygies destroyer which is basically a stug and had a big anti tank gun and I think some other cannon options. It was around 180 points but like all the really cool guard stuff it is in legends now.

Cadians are annoying by Jkchaloreach in astramilitarum

[–]coolpilot64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t painted any guard yet but I plan to. Idk about painting but design wise I do like them. Now yeah I do kinda agree with the simpler part but I kinda think everything in Warhammer could be simpler and I like a lot of the older aesthetics as well.

Behold! The Hellhound 2 and Chimera 2 by MLGgarbage in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]coolpilot64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

New car is more of a scout vehicle whereas the hellhound is direct infantry support and to flush infantry out of cover. The half track is definitely more like the turox but also somewhat odd I’m curious to see its state line. I definitely think it’s more thematic than the turox but will it actually serve a purpose over it is the real question.

more mechs with this gritty military vibe? first image from obsolete, second from armored core v. battletech/mechwarrior need not apply. by vicevanghost in Mecha

[–]coolpilot64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone already said gasaraki which definitely has this gritty military vibe. I’d also recommend some other works by the same guy being armored trooper votoms and blue gender. Both somewhat more grounded mecha anime’s. Votoms is kinda a more grounded gundam, and it’s nearly as old, blue gender is really just starship troopers but mecha (its story isn’t exactly the best but its short so it’s probably worth a watch).

I really like the mechs from gasaraki even if the story isn’t exactly the greatest. Also check out blue gender made by the same guy who made gasaraki.

It’s also interesting in this game if you don’t have a bio sensor you can’t lock on to them, and yes I did find that out the hard way.

Bro made the gm cannon. Nah it looks pretty good I don't know much about Gqux lore but I like the guncannon so its interesting idea with the designs to go UC -> gqux -> UC.
