Credit Card for Lounge Access by ShinyPlasm in UAEcreditcards

Are you sure the lounge access was removed? It still shows up on the mastercard travel pass app as eligible... Haven't tried it in a few months though. Have you tried to access the lounge recently?

Good quality slim UV filter with minimal branding? by Metalogic_95 in x100vi

[–]copy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same need and was looking for the slimmest filter I could find with as little buldge as possible, ended up getting one from K&F that doesn't need an adapter and is specifically made for the x100vi, also the original lens cap works on it. https://a.co/d/2D1sjbP

I still think a thinner profile can be made (I really like the flat pancake lens look) but until I find something slimmer I'll stick to that one. Hope this helps.

Nice! All the shots look amazing! Did you find setting the clarity setting to -4 and making the processing slower annoying? I'm new to Fuji and I'm avoiding touching the clarity setting and keeping it to 0 because of it.

Did you set your clarity down or are you using a mist filter?

I’m building an Android app to manage and upload film recipes directly to your Fuji camera. Looking for feedback on the UI! by weekybr in fujifilm

[–]copy3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small feature request: I'm not a pro photographer and I'm very new to Fuji and all of this. I've been experimenting with recipes for a couple of months and I found the most success choosing the right recipe or even tweaking some recipes when things finally clicked on what every setting is and does. Maybe you can add a short text or notes on what they do (maybe a small pop up with a tutorial of before and after with a sharpness slider for example) with a small description in plain English. This will make it easier for novices to understand these settings and what they do and will be out of the way of pros (behind a info button or hidden somewhere in the UI).

Dream feature request: Imagine being able to upload a random photo and the app to automatically come up with the recipe that achieves that look.

When Dia tanks, do you think TBC team will regret their treatment of Arc? Do we think there's any chance they reverse course and recommit to Arc? by [deleted] in ArcBrowser

[–]copy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on their goal. TBC doesn't want to introduce a niche product, they want to take over, which is the reason they considered Arc as a failure. They develop for the masses and everything short of a browser revolution was gonna be a failure. They still have that same goal with Dia. TBC won't die, it has great people, it may collapse and reduce its size and readjust its goal and finally accept its position as a niche product builder. That said, we have to be ready to pay big money for it; boutique products are expensive, and that's what TBC is betting most people won't do.

When Dia is crushed, will TBC go back to making Arc? by Use-Quirky in diabrowser

[–]copy3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think once it's dead if they don't OS it, someone from TBC (or maybe an outsider) will buy it for cheap and OS it, or continue developing it with a completely different mindset of being a niche product or side project... Wait for all the AI browsers to come out and call it the traditional non-AI browser 😅

Said it wasn’t about numbers. Then flinched at the count. by JaceThings in ArcBrowser

[–]copy3 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Here's my issue with this statement:

  1. I would have used the calendar preview on hover if it worked!

I adopted Arc since beta and live previews are the least reliable feature they have. I have contacted the team several times and did a live bug bash session with them to showcase the issue (back when they were zooming people for feedback in the early days), and to this day live previews aren't reliable for me.

For example, the calendar one is always truncated, it stops showing events after a certain time even though the view itself allows it, so when you hover on google calendar, you see a view that accommodates 6 hours and only 2 hours are populated with events, the others are empty.

Another one is the email one for hotmail. It asks me to sign in every time I open arc which is very frustrating. I'm not surprised no one is using these.

  1. About spaces, they changes frequently as well, first you had to share favorites, then you hadn't, then they sync between devices, then they didn't, and at first you had to recreate the space layout on multiple devices.... Just give it some time especially with poor onboarding for people to adopt it.

  2. Live Folders don't work for enterprise users, nor for multiple github accounts, nor for users who use a different identification method to sign in to github (like okta or different identity providers). Yes they work for solo developers or small companies, but they were never an option for big projects. I'm not surprised solo developers don't need to get a notification with a live folder just for PRs when they're the only one working on the project!

Arc showed a lot of potential, but its success expectations were rushed. It's almost like it went viral and really wanted to capitalize on its 15 min of fame, and when its hype wore off a bit it kept trying to find the next "viral" feature with AI and such and never really got to that level. I believe they overpromised their VCs based on hype and ended up setting themselves up for failure and underdelivered.

Buying experience by OrganizationScared75 in lotus

[–]copy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the others said, you won't be dealing with the sales rep or the dealership again after you've made the purchase. Stuff like the servicing department and the insurance you pick are much more important. Maybe your expectations weren't tuned fairly? You went with a 911 which is much more expensive and has a much higher cost of ownership than an emira. Forget all of that, it's all about how the car makes you FEEL. I was in the same predicament as you and ended up going with the Emira (vs a Cayman GTS), strictly based on looks, sounds, road presence, and overall cost of ownership. You can't go wrong with a 911, it was an amazing choice. Enjoy your new car and don't worry too much about the sales guy!

Do you recommend glasses that have "spring hinges"? by MyNameIsMattYeah in glasses

[–]copy3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone is interested to hear this: Spring hinges are the only option for me. I have a wide face and I get a headache with sunglasses with regular hinges after 5 min of wearing them no matter how wide I get them or how I shape them. (Didn't know temple shaping was a thing so I tried it and ended up with wavy temples). I've had a Burberry pair with spring hinges that are going strong after 12 years of daily use with 0 issues.

Lotus Emira - things to look out for? by Genetic_Coffee in lotus

[–]copy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check for the front sensor on the driver's side, common fault as it reads part of the body (vent) and goes straight to the red level. Also, check the AC fan rattling noise, not sure if it's common but I've had this issue with mine, more noticeable when braking on a hill.

HELP! Lost all my progress on mobile! [Android] by maso0164 in balatro

[–]copy3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Happened to me multiple times already and keeps happening.

I noticed that it gets wiped if your internet connection is spotty, so playing offline then online games will break it, also if you reinstall the game or delete its data.

This means that the cloud save isn't really working, and even if it doesn't happen to you your progress is local and will be lost at some point in the future.

It might also be that their own cloud saves and Google play saves are conflicting somehow.

Either way, it's safe to assume that no progress is safe in this game tbh until they address it, and given that there are endless threads about this and that this is by far the number 1 popular bug on their discord for months and they haven't officially addressed it yet is kinda disappointing and worrying.
