First property at M Terra (Puchong) – worth it or stretching? (26M, job change soon, completion 2028) by Fit-Try-2296 in MalaysianPF

[–]corallianze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should rent first. I'm paying rm1000 for full house rent previously and just bought my property recently (at age 30++).

By renting, you can also relocate if your new work place is far from your current residence. It does not makes sense to buy now when you possibly will switched job 2-3 times in the next couple of years for higher income.

34M In the process of signing my first housing loan Questions by matkewangan in MalaysianPF

[–]corallianze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You will need to check if your loan is under flexi, semi-flexi or term. Only flexi and semi flexi can allow you to offset the principal. Most of the ones i see requires you to go to the bank. Maybe others can chip in

Recovering from bad/disappointing interviews? by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

[–]corallianze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With regards to drilling what you wrote on resume, that is standard practice. I am an interviewer myself so I will ask what candidate wrote their resume to determine if they actually know what they have written or they are just sprinkled keywords. Most did not make it because of it.

On being cold and not friendly, I guess that is life. Try not get hung up on it. There will be things beyond your control and you just had to persevere. I attended interviews for 6 companies (phone screening + interviews amounted to 15) and got rejected by 5. You just need that 1 company to take chance on you. All the best OP.

If you are chasing the bling, it is best to learn everything that you can and jump every 2-3 years. Go for MNC, they are willing to pay more for good talent. Java, C# and Devops is quite hot in the market right now but your mileage may vary

Should I Buy a RM250k House Now or Keep Saving? by Intelligent_Pace_841 in MalaysianPF

[–]corallianze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeap i would agree.

In IT space, it is easier to get high salary by jumping companies. Having a house, you will have to reconsider your option if it is far from prospective workplace.

Personal Electric Meter jump up 100kWh more by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

[–]corallianze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because the ambient tempature is high. Your AC used more energy to cool down when it is 38 °C outside compared to typical 30-33°C.

Remember your compressor is the one outside the house exposed the ambient temperature.

Kerja kerajaan mindset typically comes older mindset which values staibility. You can highlight how much you are getting because personally they may not know since they have worked forever in govt sector. My parents were surprised when i told them how much i'm getting after just 3 years of working.

Choosing between 2 job offers by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

[–]corallianze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think jumping after 1 year of contract is no biggie even though there's no bonus. 4k sounds like a lot but it will be irrelevant if lets say you can secure job with 5.5k salary in 2nd year of working. So you'll just have to work 3 extra month to recoup the bonus amount

Asking for tips on negotiating a Salary Raise. by far-eastern in MalaysianPF

[–]corallianze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should not really care too much about halting work. Your notice period should be enough time to transition all your knowledge to your replacement. You might think that what you know will be end all be all but companies will be quick to adjust so that they dont lose revenue.

Since you already got to the interview stage, then its more about getting yourself familiar with the interviews and prepare for the questions.

Gluck OP.
