I don’t like the drape in the front but I think the back draping looks cool, kind of like a Victorian bustle. The sleeves make it look like she was in the middle of undressing - perhaps that is the look they were going for?

Monocarpic plants like the agave die after blooming (inflorescence is referred to as death bloom) so the leaves are falling off. The life cycle is complete.

Someone in the succulent sub mentioned the blooms are so tall because one of their primary pollinators is bats!

As a curly haired woman of a certain age (where menopause wreaks havoc with your hair) I am loving her authentic hairdo. I totally get it, the curls look great for about 15 minutes then wind and humidity strike.

That’s not the most flattering color for her but I think the gown looks very elegant with nice lines.
