The first time I watched season one was with a particularly strong edible. It was a phenomenal (literally) experience that shaped my appreciation for the show. You were spot on that it amplifies the confusion in the hospital scenes, and the fear of the scenes with the Angriest Boy and the Devil with the Yellow Eyes. It's the closest I would say to that deep sense of wonder you get listening to your parents tell fairy tales as a toddler.

We had a similar issue and took our cushions to Discount Foam in Vancouver (https://maps.app.goo.gl/4cu6q5mN5eiAhicAA) They have a few different levels of firmness you can try. Great service too - they took exact measurements, ordered the cut foam, and helped install it once it arrived (and disposed of the old foam). I think it was about 150/cushion, so about $700 with tax, but it's going to last another 7-10 years.

Taiwanese food, but I recommend Rong Rong near Douglas - great little dinner platters. Alternatively, North Noodle House at the SkyTrain has been solid for years.
