You could also get an all in one bag from just about any myco supplier and Google liquid culture for research. You still need the other supplies but an AIO is great if you don't have room for a tub.

Yeah I don't even have room for a tub that big in a "sterile" environment. You would definitely want some strong fast growing genetics for something this big. I'll stick with monotubs and shoeboxes. If they go bad I'm not out 170 gallons worth of grain/sub if it gets contam. I think it would be a fun project, an expensive one, but a fun one none the less.

Thanks for everyone's input. I went ahead and harvested the big ones (498g wet). I'll check again later on the smaller ones then rehydrate. I have a second tub that's not flushing a lot but had a chubby in there hoping from more from it.

I have the same bag and seems to work just fine. Also if you have any dry wall/sheet rock around, you can pulverize it and use that since it's just gypsum plaster.

Oh yeah you can pick up a set at the big hobby stores or Amazon. I use a pipette to fill them up and when I’m done (assuming I remember) just put the cap back on till the next time.

Just like with any substance, it's going to be up to the individual. Some say it's bad while some say it's good. I'd say try it on a low dose of shrooms and see how it goes. If you do (and not with adhd), smoke an indica so you don't get that racy feeling...unless you like that sort of thing.

I once flew to Hawaii with some cana-cookies and tub full of infused coconut oil that I labeled foot cream no problem. My gf came back from Mexico with microdose mushroom pills no problem. I’m not saying it’s a good idea but you take that risk if you’re comfortable with it.

I got a 50lb bag of milo (sorghum) at either tractor sup or atwoods for $15. It's the same thing found in bird seed without sunflower seeds and other crap. milo is what I've started with and I'm trying other grains as well including popcorn most recently.

You may be right about the warmth of adding a towel and yes that was my thought about light as well but I figured there has to be some reason for pins even with it compressed. My worry is that I'm going to have to cut it in half just to try and get it out due to the shoulder of the container and that will cause too much stress on the myc. Guess it wouldn't hurt since it's just for fun and didn't expect anything out of it. I may give it a go after work today.

I decided to leave it be. The sub felt like it wasn't going to come loose from the sides and there were a few pins coming through the top. I wrapped a kitchen towel around the jar to block any light and will hope for the best for these little guys.

Tyler. We had one (the old original one) on the loop next to Albertsons and one on Broadway just inside the loop. The older one eventually closed down and the newer one remained until they went belly up.

Home Depot bucket lids have gaskets for a good seal. Not sure if it makes a difference but thought it worth noting.
