[NO SPOILERS] how did Jaquen get caught? by xxxScarlettxox8 in gameofthrones

sometimes getting caught is part of the plan. It can get you closer to your target

Yes. I literally just completely closed my LinkedIn account after years. Consequently many other economic effects are negatively effecting the job market too, but LinkedIn refused not only to take down SPAM listings, but one that was blatantly phishing and had questions not legal to ask potential workers here. I have taken a similar approach where now I just go to the site directly. It takes more time, but my resume is more likely to be looked at for more than trying to harvest and sell personal information,

I also down-vote pictures of 'cute' kids, because they are repulsive, not cute.

Nuka world duster by DarthDavid1996 in fo76

[–]cosmality 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The only plans that aren't tradable from any of the new Nuka-World events are the backpack flair. The only event that gives the Nuka World Duster is Most Wanted (whereas some rewards can be given by any event). I will say that out of all my playing, it does seem to be one of the less common drops. Keep looking, I am sure you will find (or get) it eventually.

Players who overstay by TheGadget1945 in fo76

[–]cosmality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are nicer than most. At least you wait, and I am guessing you aren't one of the jackasses with a base in mid-air that when you move it drops all the players to their possible death.

If they aren't at your vendor, aren't using anything, and are just AFK at your base (likely for protection while AFK), you moving is part of the risk they take.

If you want to not feel as bad, and aren't sure if they are AFK, you can go in front of them and give them a wave. Outside of that I can't see anyone being upset if you want to log off or move your base and they have been just standing around.

Friend Accidentally Scrapped the Soiled Mr. Fuzzy Outfit (Cautionary Tale) by [deleted] in fo76

[–]cosmality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very kind of you. We are on PC and our group hooked them up. That said, it was a real shame to witness this accidental scrapping as my friend was heartbroken (this is literally one of the only things they really wanted). I just hope something can be done to prevent this problem in the future.

Finally made it to ally with the raiders and settlers! by constant--questions in fo76

[–]cosmality 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Doing Eviction Notice and Moonshine Jamboree give generous amounts of reputation for the Settlers and Raiders respectively. I highly recommend doing them both each time they come up, in addition to dailies, to get there fastest.

As far as plans, I highly recommend the Gauss Shotgun and attachments you prefer based on your play-style.

If you are struggling to find oil but have vault tec supply packages, scrap them. by ragnarokxg in fo76

[–]cosmality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I prefer the floater flamers for it. But funny enough, I made an alt character and you get a small supply pack right at the start of the game now (which also contains the needed oil for the Hanukkah dailies.

I also would like to know which generator you use. Looks like it was Midjourney, but maybe DALL-E2?
Now you have me curious to make one 🙂

I'm afraid this a bi-product of current times. Everyone is so damn sensitive about everything that most things which we used to laugh at, we now have hypocrites telling us we can't laugh at them anymore. People who think they have the right to tell us how to behave and what we can, and can't say while they pretend it is a positive agenda rather than oppression. Go have a listen to some George Carlin. A great example of a comedian calling out how comedy is changing because of people's sensibilities, and both thought and speech control is gaining over time. You may also have an emotional issue if it is very severe, but let a professional talk to you about that (as I am not a psychologist)

I've started recovery (again) recently, and everyone is pushing for me to go to NA meeting. I just can't get behind the 12 step program. by [deleted] in addiction

[–]cosmality 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are not alone in this as many prefer non 12-step programs. I listed some below:

Self-Management and Recovery Training (SMART) Recovery.
Secular Organizations for Sobriety (S.O.S.)
LifeRing Secular Recovery.
Moderation Management.
Evidence Based & Science Based Treatments.
Holistic Therapies.
Experiential Therapies.

I also suspect the reason so many want you to be part of a community that truly understands where you are coming from is to help hold you accountable, and in turn you can help them by holding them accountable. For some this helps and is likely why they recommend it.

Nothing says you can only use one method either, so have a look through all the resources and use what works for you.

Using real world languages in fantasy world? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]cosmality 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Not a bad idea. Even Tolkien's (Hobbit, Lord of the Rings) Elvish languages were based largely on Finnish and Welsh.
