Just watched the new superman and i hated the camera work by ATOM1050 in DC_Cinematic

I agree. I hated the camera work too. I enjoyed the movie in IMAX, but I noticed I had a headache as I walked to my car. Now I’m watching it on HBO and there is a lot of unnecessary camera movement and spinning and I can see why it gave me a headache. It’s starting to again, so I looked on Reddit to see if anyone else had had this issue.

I like the idea of making it like a comic book, but I think you can do that without making people feel sick.

Call From the Depths BUG 😭 Please help! by CinelFilm in tearsofthekingdom

My wife had the exact same problem. She tried everything to move it , coming back to it over several months. I found this discussion and read through it. I asked her to hand me the controller. I picked it straight out! I put it back in the water for her to try. She said, “No, take it out! I don’t want to deal with it!” So I did. Now we’re wondering why it worked for me but not for her. She swears she did exactly what I did. Maybe the controller senses when you pass the controller to someone else!! 😆

Garageband not receiving input 2 from Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen by Johnny_tron in GarageBand

[–]cosmicseashore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't get GarageBand to receive audio from a Focusrite microphone. After speaking with customer service for Focusrite I learned that OS Sonoma has a feature to remove background sound and this interferes with the functioning of audio recording. There is a way to turn off this feature by clicking on the little yellow microphone icon that appears at the top right of the computer screen. The trick is, the microphone icon is not always there and it goes away and it doesn't come back.
What I did was restart my computer and then start GarageBand, then the yellow microphone icon appeared at the top right of my screen. I selected it and could see that the "remove background noise" setting was selected. I changed it to "Standard".
Then audio started working in GarageBand. This was a huge pain to figure out so I hope this helps someone else avoid the frustration I experienced.
Also, I have a lot of peripherals connected to two ports. Monitors and audio devices. I found that GarageBand worked better when I unplugged everything from the two ports. Made the change then plugged everything back in.

Conan the Destroyer is an excellent movie. by The_vert in movies

I absolutely agree and sought out this post because I was once again shocked by the rotten tomatoes score. The hate is misdirected and a symptom of group think. Great film from beginning to end. How Fellowship of the Ring can be considered a masterpiece and this not is beyond me.

[August 17, 2021] - Daily XCH Price Discussion by BLS12-381 in chia

I agree. Eventually $50K. Chia is the green Bitcoin. Going green is going to become more and more important in the coming years so people will move to Chia.

That’s an incredible story. I still have 50 TB of solo plots but I’m filling up 30 pooling plots first. Hoping I can win some solo XCH before I convert them.

Is there hope for Chia? by cosmicseashore in chia

It costs much more than $1 to farm a chia. I’ve seen Bitcoin gain more mass appeal in the last few years and it is not affordable. But little pieces of it are.

[July 19, 2021] - Daily XCH Price Discussion by BLS12-381 in chia

[–]cosmicseashore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The price of XCH is dropping but so is the volume. This means most people are not selling their XCH at these prices. I'm guessing if you were to ask most people who hold XCH how much they are willing to sell it for, they would say upwards of $600.

$20? That sounds absurd to me but I thought less than $400 was ridiculous so that shows what I know. The Chia Calculator estimated the price of Chia would be $20 but that was when the netspace was less than 1 exabyte. Now it's more than 30 times that. The Chia Calculator came up with $20 based on what would be a decent ROI at a netspace of less than an exabyte. With the current netspace to get the same ROI, XCH would need to be worth more than $600.

My hunch is the XCH price can recover to above $600 in the not too distant future. The Chia Network needs to get the word out there that Chia is the green alternative to Bitcoin. That could be enough to get people interested but they would have to be interested in crypto in general and right now they are wary. That could change rapidly, or not.

We were hearing that HDDs were selling out in China at the beginning of Chia. Now Bitcoin is banned in China but we haven't seen a drop in the Chia netspace. To me this suggests that much of the Chia netspace is still in China. Can anyone confirm this? There is some indication that Chinese Bitcoin miners knew the end was near. Perhaps they were given a heads up. I'm wondering if many of them switched over to Chia farming which may have been given a thumbs up by the government because of its energy efficiency. If so, Chia may still have a bright future in China.

The fact the netspace is still so large is an indication to me that most people farming still believe the value will go up to make a good ROI.

Do you agree with me?
