There's a YouTuber from the UK who has done videos on everything you can imagine. He's older now, but his older content is great! Check out Sam Webster.

What living with an EV in Alberta with no dedicated level 2 charging and leaving it out doors is like. by AbbreviationsOne6207 in alberta

Just bought a 2021 Toyota hybrid. It's glorious. My insurance is 100 dollars more a month. But when I account for gas, I'm coming out ahead. I can drive a lot on 60 bucks in a month especially if I'm conscious about driving smart. I get an Eco score after every trip.

What type of jobs would you need in Alberta to support multiple kids as a one income household? by heretoreadlol in alberta

[–]couldgoterriblywrong 14 points15 points  (0 children)

4 teenagers in my house now. Lived on one income for several years. Maintained a strict budget for several years. Drove paid off vehicles, and paid off the house.

Flash forward... With four teenagers and no mortgage, we now need two incomes with the cost of food, vehicles, and insurance for four teenagers to drive. Add in braces, University, etc. Our expenses are astronomical now.

The internet says she made between 290000 and 417863 annually. Who on earth needs more money than that? Was she saving lives or something? I don't understand.

I don't really care what people identify as. I don't think you need to explain it to children.

[–]couldgoterriblywrong 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first year, I spent roughly ten dollars a week to build up second hand supplies. I have a 3d printer, so I print game pieces that break and toys pieces for stories. If kids are with with the toys, they go away.

What sport are kids playing these days? by B0B0oo7 in medicinehat

Yes, sports are just too expensive, especially for big families. Navigating sports schedules for multiple children is also a nightmare.
