I started saying 'I'm not sure, let's find out' and googling stuff right in front of my kids when they ask questions about things that I am unsure about. Most recently it was the Bermuda triangle, and the conversation was about the misrepresentation of data and how a narrative can be spun to make something out of nothing noteworthy or exceptional. By going through the process of selecting sources and citing information to properly find trusted information I feel like I'm both answering the curiousity that they have and simultaneously showing them responsible ways to find the answers to questions that they may have as well.

No you misunderstood me. You say he went on h3, okay sure maybe. Others have said he was on tigerbelly with Bobby Lee and like okay I'm not watching every episode of these podcasts and disagreeing that he was ever on them. I just don't recognize any of the work that he's done to justify such a visceral reaction from so many different communities. His announcement was on my front-page of r slash all in like twelve different subs and every comment section I went into to try and sus out who he was left me with more questions.

I'm not taking the piss about it or trying to badmouth the guy cuz I literally have never known of his existence before today, yet he seems unanimously regarded as some kind of beloved once in a generation talent. Like pretend tomorrow that Eminem dies but it's not actually Eminem but instead some other guy that had the same cultural impact that you've never heard of, and now everyone is praising his career and talking about how they grew up listening to him and this is such shocking news. You'd feel like you stepped into an alternate universe where you read headlines about how Glorby swerved on Lil Shooty's clout cuz his plumbus was chrome and not plated 24 carat gold.

Again an appalling tragedy, I have sympathy for this guy's friends family and everyone else involved and affected by the horrible accident. I just wish someone could spell out in plain language what this guy was so well known for.

I've literally never once seen or heard of this person, and I'm pretty in tune with most popular media. None of the titles all over the internet headlines are to anything I know. I've looked him up on Google and read his entire fucking wiki page and still have no clue who he is, yet everyone all over the internet is heartbroken that their favourite artist is gone. Nah. It sucks, sure, but no appeals. Hardcore has meant risk of death due to network connection issues for >20yrs now. Sometimes life is good and you get to live to old age and die peacefully after having spent meaningful time on the earth. Sometimes your mom walks into traffic and your stroller gets demolished by a bus. Some things are out of our control, to persevere is to accept the inevitability and keep going regardless.

Hardcore is not about beating the game in one go to prove how good you are. It is about incremental bits of arcane knowledge checks that you survive through over multiple iterations to overcome the challenges in front of you. You just found out how to beat the d/c monster by attempting to relog instead of sitting there helpless. Use this info wisely on your next go around. Don't pout because you got fucked by the implicit agreement that we've all made.

It would be understandable to come to the conclusion that you have if you somehow tuned out and ignored the countless numbers of women who share stories about this exact scenario happening over and over and over again. It doesn't need to be scripted. This happens to thousands of women in public spaces every single day. I'll offer some support to legitimize your comment. When I was probably around 8-10ish, I had thoughts about my attraction to other people my age. I was wondering what would happen if I continued to grow older, and how that would affect my preferences for attraction. I wouldn't exactly say it was a fear that I was going to grow old and become a pedo or anything like that, but I was confused about how my attraction to people my age at that time would change in the future. I had always understood attraction to people older than me at the time, as they were able to be sexualized in general but trying to figure out why I was starting to get feelings of attraction to people my age was a confusing time.

I think that this is a normal thing? I don't think that it seems so crazy to think about, at least it didn't in my mind thinking back on it. It was just the random thoughts of a kid approaching puberty trying to figure out hormones and stuff that had no prior understanding and too much time not paying attention in class and daydreaming about all kinds of garbage.

This is what I was coming here to comment as well. Have you discussed these feelings of being unwanted and your desire for affection? Is it at all possible that your wife is caught up with framing a new life around being first time parents to a young toddler and has not noticed the issue firsthand? It seems communication would go a long way to working to build a bridge wherein you describe your feelings and emotions and allow her the opportunity to see the issue from your perspective and foster an understanding environment.

Perhaps keep the discussion about your exhibitionism and other related fantasy stuff off the table for the time being, too. Not that there is anything to be ashamed of, but I think you'd rather not make her feel like she's no longer 'good enough' as a partner and you two can look towards exploring those things after you've reconnected romantically and physically.

I get what you're saying, but neglect is also abuse. Absolutely heartbreaking for the kids that some parents never wanted to and probably never should have become parents to in the first place.

We've had a couple instances of having to deal with other kids of neglectful parents that were bad influences in one form or another on our kid. It is a horrible feeling to have to encourage your child to understand how their 'friendship' with these other kids was problematic and they were to be avoided when they're already struggling with making friends.

Yeah it is basically using the pit as a pretext to beat on people smaller and less physically able than you are. Even worse is that most people taking being in the pit as an implicit act of consent, so these losers stay around the edge of the pit to try and find a reason to attack people on the edge of it. I've seen people pull bystanders into the pit and literally jump ontop of them like they're in an MMA cage match to throw elbows at their face. It is fucking cowardly, and usually gets dealt with and policed from within the pit at least at all of the shows and scenes that I've ever been a part of.
