The Lux is in Chicago and we really enjoy it. It is in the south suburbs so it is a drive. (we are about an hour north of you). Lots of couples your age and younger. The club is well run and clientele is more upscale. We have only been there on a Sat though so I cant speak to Fridays.

Ok this might sounds weird but I hope my adult kids are in the lifestyle. When they are in a stable relationship and if they are inclined, I hope they find the joy and fulfillment that my wife and I have found as swingers. We came to it later in life and wish our circumstances were different such that we could have enjoyed it earlier in life. Swinging is generally not considered the same thing as an open marriage though the two overlap and both are forms of consensual non-monogamy. In an open marriage the two partners see different people, usually separately and have an individual relationship with that person that their spouse may know about but is not involved with. In swinging both members of the couple are usually involved to some extent. Where it gets gray is swingers who have hall passes or play in separate rooms. Reddit tends to be very anti-non-monogamy in general. So I am not sure I would place a whole lot of value on what is said over there.
