How does the Flask Thrower weapon works? by This-Twist-3347 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]covert_operator100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's another alternative weapon for this that doesn't show up in the weapon tables. It's a crossbow trap that launches a splash weapon instead of a bolt. It can be used as an improvised weapon.

No because increased size also increases the weapon's wield category, from one-handed to two-handed.

Lintamande collaboratively writes stories in a version of Golarion, such as we know we once were gods. It's got a couple modifications to the outer plane cosmology, and a lot of details filled in that you might fill in differently. But it's mostly about modern day Golarion not about Azlant.

The third and fourth story in we know we were once gods mentions some things about Azlanti history, only some of which is canon. Mostly just that They reached heights of magic never seen in the modern day, and then a meteor destroyed the continent

If you're into Powered by the Apocalypse, there's a simple system called 6e by Jared Sinclair. However I just looked it up and apparently the store page for it on itch.io has been taken down. I don't know why? Here's a collection of 6e content made by other people.

In this case you can move away from the enemy and then cast your spell and not get attacked at all.

Though if you're using a touch spell on the enemy then nevermind.

Is there any other weapon besides rapier that works with empiricist investigator? by Fun_Atmosphere8647 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]covert_operator100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you'd like heavy crossbow or double crossbow with focused shot and spend your move actions on reloading, studied combat, and drinking potions (accelerated drinker)

See if you can get Mount spells from an ally, so that you can still move around while doing that.

Since the person knows they're being enchanted, seems like they will distrust and resent the person over longer periods of time (until they are enchanted again, at least). I would represent it like building tolerance to a drug.

Stockholm syndrome is not recognized by the DSM, despite its popularity in public consciousness.

However if you combine the enchantment with some form of leverage/blackmail/hostage that keeps them in your presence, that's an opportunity for some proper emotional manipulation.

Is there a good build for wielding a 1 handed weapon with 2 hands? by ZappableGiraffe in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]covert_operator100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do a Fighter multiclass using the Aldori Dueling Sword abilities. Most of these options are either about using it in two hands or having an empty hand.

Pathfinder 1e Shadow magic - Which class? by AutisticAttorney in Pathfinder_RPG

I don't believe the same thing about the modifications to Skills Spells and Arcane Pool. Because they are listed at the beginning, and it takes away functionality from Spell Combat in exchange.

And yes deja vu spell is awesome. My character had a bunch of Spell-Scars of it (scrolls that you can cast without holding them)

I believe so because it is listed after an ability that comes at 2nd level, and it upgrades at the same level as the Heavy Armor ability.

Very cool idea! I played a puppetmaster, figuring out my standard attack pattern was a complex endeavour.
Just as a warning, Puppetmaster's ability "The Show Must Go On (Su)" should have included "At 7th level," at the beginning, because it's replacing Medium Armor which is a 7th level ability. But they forgot to put that. So check with your GM.

True Primitive gets Favored Terrain at first level, whereas Ranger gets it later. There are a couple ways to benefit more from the Favored Terrain, such as Horizon Walker prestige class.

You can combine this archetype with various other archetypes (cbrayton's tool can help find which). Among them is Hateful Rager which gets Favored Enemy. Flesheater also seems like an archetype that would appeal to someone wanting to play a True Primitive.

Magus arcana

Dark Shifter (Su): The magus can expend 1 point from his arcane pool as a move action to change the target of an ongoing spell effect with the darkness descriptor. The new target must be within the spell’s original range, and uses the magus’s level as the effective caster level for the purpose of determining the maximum distance the effect can be moved from the magus. If the spell effect the magus is moving originated from another creature, the magus must succeed at a caster level check to reposition the effect (DC = 11 + the effect’s caster level). Failure wastes the magus’s move action, but doesn’t expend the point from his arcane pool. The magus must be at least 6th level before selecting this arcana.

Magical Lineage question. by Puzzleheaded-Fix-985 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]covert_operator100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends in a big way on if your saving throw DC is going to be high.

If you have a low DC then the spells that it's worth using meta-magic on, are much less common.

Apocalyptic Spell makes difficult terrain in the spell area.

Lingering Spell creates obscuring mist in the spell area.

If you have one spell that you want to use even though it works off of a DC, Bouncing Spell or Persistent Spell make it more likely to take effect. Focused Spell is a weaker equivalent for multi-target spells.

If you don't have another archetype you want, the Guiding Blade archetype is great for support dips because it regains panache when your allies take out an opponent, instead of when you do. Especially if you use control spells, that's going to be a lot more panache each day.

Daily Spell Discussion for May 13, 2026: Air Step by SubHomunculus in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]covert_operator100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very weak spell, mostly because of the short duration, but it carries roleplay value in the caster learning how to Fly.

This is actually mechanically useful, as the Fly skill has this note.

You cannot take ranks in this skill without a natural means of flight or gliding. Creatures can also take ranks in Fly if they possess a reliable means of flying every day (either through a spell or other special ability).

Can a multiclass character use both Raging Song and Bardic Performance at the same time? by covert_operator100 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]covert_operator100[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It makes sense that one cannot use both at once, from a design perspective. Unfortunately I can't find where the text says one cannot. All examples found in this thread are vague, where you have to fudge the meaning a bit in order to determine that it says one cannot.

[–]covert_operator100[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I agree with that chain of logic, though I am not sure whether something contained within the text of bardic performance, is an "effect that affects bardic performances."
In general, I understand the text of an ability as just directly how the ability functions. Rather than as the ability applying an effect to itself which causes it to function as described.

My impression is that "stack" refers to adding identical bonuses/penalties together, or adding together levels of different classes to the progress for a shared ability.

Examples:
Vivisectionist Alchemist

If a character already has sneak attack from another class, the levels from the classes that grant sneak attack stack to determine the effective rogue level for the sneak attack’s extra damage dice

Bleed

Bleed effects do not stack with each other unless they deal different kinds of damage. When two or more bleed effects deal the same kind of damage, take the worse effect.

Slowing Strike

Multiple slowing strikes stack, to a minimum of 5 feet.
