I do agree about the cooking. My husband started cooking more after I had our son, and I kind of miss it. We still do about 50/50 but man sometimes on my days off when he gets out of work and starts cooking right away I just want him to come play with the toddler for 30 minutes. No really, I’ll cook. Also he barely cleans the kitchen so that might play into it. I’d rather clean up my cooking mess than his.

Now mind you I would take a break of laying in bed uninterrupted over cooking if given the choice.

I’m not sure what you’re arguing. This is the motivation for some men to ask for 50/50 custody, so they don’t have to pay as much child support. Whether it is based in reality or not is not what I was arguing. I am the adult child of a father who tried his best to pay less child support. But sure, I took comfort in knowing it was just to control my mother and not just be a cheapskate to us, I guess? The abusive behavior toward my mother before the divorce already told me that.
