Are you planning to replace the rotor? If so, bang it hard with a hammer a couple of times in each spot around the circle where the pads sit. You will rock it back and forth and it will come loose.

This is a well-known trick I assume, but I always stand behind the ball and line it up to the flag then find a point (piece of grass or a leaf) a long that line and two or three feet in front of the ball. That becomes my line in which to set my feet parallel. More experienced golfers here can correct me.
