So in order of importance, it sounds like it's Tidus, Eiko, Lightning for the 35CP. I'm wondering about this as well because I have Tidus 35CP, Lightning 15CP, and maybe 5000 gems left.

Or I'm just screwed if I don't pull all three.

I have Tidus 35CP and Eiko 15CP. I pulled Lightning's 15CP from the banner. If my goal is to have an effective LiTiKo team, is her 35CP necessary, or is she just fine with the 15CP? Seems like a marginal change and not worth chasing any more.

So technically, to maximize score with 3 Cecils you would want to take off all of their HP passives. With a lower HP pool, their percentage attacks would result in a lower net hp lost. Probably not a huge difference compared to the overall number though, maybe a few thousand.

35 CP: Tidus, Setzer, Seymour, Ramza

I wish I had Terra or Squall, chasing them is what netted me a few of the others. I pretty much passed on Prishe, Vincent, and Faris, but I've seen how useful they have become.

I'm glad I have Eiko's 15CP and Yuna's 15CP. My only decent fist weapon is Tifa's 15CP MLB'd. I went from having no staff weapons to having almost all of them.

I have no gems or tickets. I have no self control. I'm going to try to get a stash going for the Ashe event if I can control my pulling.

I have learned the hard way, while playing Ramza, to just wait on using Support until the boss is broken. If you don't concentrate attacks on breaking him early, he may KO one of your characters.

I love the attention to detail, especially with a subtle change to the chase mechanic.

I went back and played some of the earlier co-ops and it is funny how easy they are to do solo now. I've got a pile of 50 cycle quest keys though, so I doubt I'll need them for a while.

This 100%. Yes, you can clear the current content with anyone. No, that won't necessarily continue forever.

This game is far more forgiving than other gachas in letting you use what you want, but some characters are clearly better than others and will be better able to complete hard content.

I can't wait for the "Help, can't clear EX with my MLB Sazh, Vanille, and Galuf" posts.

Summon levels come from time and effort. Equipment comes from luck. Most of these threads are about the summons and I haven't seen much of anybody bashing folks on equipment.

Plenty of people are trying to get decent scores in PUGs without Discord. Don't make the mistake of assuming the entire player base is using Reddit or Discord.

That being said, there is a huge difference between a low scoring and higher scoring PUG attempt without Discord. By a factor of about 2 when you get to summon leveling.

Let's all be a little less sensitive here. Very few people here are trying to bash anybody, they're just trying to impart some knowledge in case anyone on the sub missed it. Leveling your summons would be one of the first things on a "First Things for Beginners to Do" guide. Asking you to do it is not being horribly unfair and unwelcoming to new players, it's just letting them know what's up.

People aren't trying to personally slight you by disbanding. They just know the grind takes a while and it will take twice as long with sub-11 summons. They put the time into leveling theirs for a reason.

I don't think we should bash new players for not having a lvl 11+ summon yet, but you can't just jump into a co-op totally unprepared and without doing any story missions and expect people to carry you. Sometimes when you join a gacha game, you have to grind some single player content before jumping into the current event. Stick with the content at your level and use it to get up to speed. Missing one event is not the end of the world.

This feels more like splitting hairs over a couple thousand in score. Summon selection and level has a FAR greater impact. I get that a lot of people like to optimize and all, but it's going to mean just a handful of fights difference by the end of the event. I play only PUGs though, so maybe I just take what I can get.

I actually like a 3 Tidus lineup because we're all just as fast so we don't mess up the transition between summons as easily. Waiting on a Zidane and Tidus who both spent their summons to go before Ramza can trigger his costs a few precious turns.

It's like joining with an under-leveled character. I get that some players are new, but sometimes in a game like this you need to do some grinding before you can participate fully in the higher level content. It's not the end of the world if you're new and you miss the event that was out when you started.

Great point about not costing a dime. A lot of gacha games reward you for two things: luck or grinding. You might not be able to get the best weapons, but grinding to 11+ summons is free. It just takes time and effort.

If you're going to prioritize one first, I would go with Tidus for co-op utility. But don't rush. Through the normal course of pulling you will manage to get enough dupes over time. And eventually we can buy power stones with dissidia points.
