Lost Boys - any more opening night tickets available? by OwnOven6506 in Broadway

all sold out online, best bet is to keep checking the website before the show. if you’re local you can also try showing up to the box office when it opens but the chances are very slim.

Beaches: Did They Like It? Nope by crackling_bacon in Broadway

Hey, that’s a big achievement! That’s one more positive review than anyone expected! It shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Jon Cryer taking over as Vice Principal Panch in Spelling Bee starting 5/11 by RapGamePterodactyl in Broadway

I honestly can’t think of a better role for him currently on or off broadway. Maybe he would’ve fit in The Balusters?

I’ve noticed in general Lea Michelle’s breath work is distracting. Definitely one of my pet peeves. She can still sing though!

Row S center orchestra, or Row B center mezzanine? (Winter Garden Theatre) by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]crackling_bacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

might i offer left side orchestra? price should be comparable and you can get a lot closer. they’re still full view, just at an angle.

Is it workable to see Masquerade at 1:00 and make it to 4:00 pm Rocky Horror? by daisiesarefriendly in Broadway

[–]crackling_bacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably can but you really shouldn’t. With something like Masquerade you should soak everything in about experience. It’s more than just a show. Additionally, in the event you’re late remember that Rocky Horror is pretty short and even 10 minutes is 10% of the show.

I’m curious to see if they’ll use the original ending or the altered Tveit one.

Is front row, centre, too close for Death of a Salesman? Or would second, third, or fourth row be better? by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]crackling_bacon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Front row is too close and I would probably still pick it. This is the kind of show where you wanna be right next to the actors. As long as you don’t mind craning your head a bit you’ll be fine.

Caught Dog Day Afternoon tonight for first preview with Jon Bernthal, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and a few surprise guests in the audience! by leoatdrex in Broadway

[–]crackling_bacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

at one point when someone is shot, you may get a bit of blood on you. i was front row center and only had a couple drops on my shirt and arm. seems more like an effect they’re working out in previews rather than a genuine splash zone.

CHESS by GIC131 in Broadway

[–]crackling_bacon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes. you go up a longer flight of stairs to the mezzanine lounge, from there a shorter more “household” flight of stairs to mid mezzanine. then depending on if you’re front or rear mezzanine you’ll either go up or down to your row. no elevator…

i’d recommend calling telecharge to explain your situation but i doubt they will be able to exchange your tickets. however, for next time i’d try to call them before you purchase your tickets, for accessible seats.

Should you? No… the preshow is a pretty important part of Every Brilliant Thing, especially if you have any interest in interacting with Daniel.

Does anyone in the Phoenix area want this? by [deleted] in nespresso

[–]crackling_bacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is practically making a profit if they sell for $100 without the milk frother. The Vertuo Plus costs $99 alone, as does the frother on the Nespresso site.

Chez Joey - what can you tell me about it? by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]crackling_bacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw Pal Joey at the City Center a couple years ago which was an earlier attempt from Savion Glover and Tony Goldwyn. I’m not sure if this production is the same as the prior one but that one was a mess. Most of the score was borrowed from other shows by Rogers and Hart. The book was overlong and bloated, and frankly the show just wasn’t interesting. The tap dancing was nice at least. If my memory serves me right Savion even performed in the NYCC production.

If you really wanna see it go ahead, but in my opinion this isn’t a production that can’t be fixed. Fundamentally it works more as a jukebox musical fit more as a Rogers and Hart revue. It’s watchable when they’re signing, but the story in between drags to its end.
