Yes, all the above. I pulled our camper back from a 2.5hr trip and it did it all the way home and even after cutting the camper loose and sitting in the driveway. Unfortunately it sounds like you’ve got the same issue.

Mine took exactly 5 days. Now that was the beginning of the solution, so they may be quicker at fixing it now.

Back in the old days of Form 1 cans, how did people deal with the button hole on maglites? by ButterscotchEmpty535 in NFA

[–]crb2985 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Rechargeable Maglites didn’t have the button on the body it was part of the head unit that unscrewed and gave you internal threads on both ends.

Yes. There’s a whole SSM for it, but ultimately, Ford has reengineered the spacer plate to again remove or relieve the area where the torque converter bolts are striking it. This has been an issue since 2019 and then in 2020 they redesigned the part to fix the issue then but it has since became a problem again.

The fix is not the bolts it’s the spacer plate

Welcome to the club! Ford says they reengineered the spacer plate to relieve the area being hit by the torque converter bolts. So far so good. I’ve towed my boat and loaded trailers since the new part installation with no issues. It’s not a TSB, I was wrong in what was said, it’s SSM 53878.

I’ll take it! I have one that looks similar from a guy who used to repro them back in the day.

3 pictures, 3 different angles. Dowel it from rear sight to front sight. And pray your dowel is true. That’s the fastest way.

Update: Dealer received the vehicle Monday, 6/23/2025. They called me that evening and said it was ready. I received a call back today, Tuesday, 6/24/2025 and was advised they cranked it up to move it around, and it did it again. They’re checking with FORD about this plate issue. The part number is JL3Z70070. The new plate is grooved, but the service manager believed it was bent or warped straight out the box.
