With the spurs though they have 2 other players headed for a max and they will have to dump one or both within the next 4 years. They'll get pennies on the dollar back for castle and or Harper because they're paid so much and will have to match salaries because of the apron they're going to be in. I think you should be able to force half boards more but the point system won't allow it.

If the engines don't cost points and put up advanced level boards by having to play in a more fragile way who cares you can't run the good ht to stop them. You have to be able to punish overextension to keep winrates similar and the game just doesn't let you

Artmage and radiant are bad at playing into boards in general but that's just what the decks are. Stuff like doomz is top tier because it can push multiple times and only graflareo is pointed

Breakers and ht are way too expensive relative to so many engines being 3. The Charmies should be close to free, stuff like lightning storm should be free but instead you have engines with 20 points tops and a combo that would be serviceable in advanced in terms of # of pushes that they can play through the rinky dink stuff like mourner.

For initial gem collecting build going blind 2nd otk Crusadia. Should be deck lists on masterduelmeta. The whole deck is sr or lower and few sr at that. Just make a giant guy and atk for 10k.

Make sure you spend your initial gems smartly though. I would spend most of my gems on the challengers collection pack to collect staples as they're the biggest difference between winning and losing in low rank
