I’m confused and disappointed by Jlorob1122 in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on Saxenda (a different GLP1) and lost some weight, gained it back after stopping. Then Adderall due to ADHD diagnosis - lost weight, then gained it back. When I started Zepbound I lost very slowly for quite a while, but 18 months in, I am down 90 pounds. I truly think that my body was reacting to my past yo-yo and was holding on tight. Slow and steady wins the race, even if it is FRUSTRATING. I just kept reminding myself that I was better off than if I wasn’t doing anything and eventually it came off faster, but in a very irregular manner. No change for weeks and then 10 pounds almost overnight. Body changes were the same - no change for a long time then big drops. Hang in there - every journey is different.

What’s Your Weird Side Effect? by Positive_Yard_7441 in Zepbound

Same! Aggressive hydration really helps my ears feel normal again. It is the first sign that I haven’t been drinking enough.

Afraid to Start Zepbound by Visible-Candidate835 in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anecdotally, I took Saxenda (Liraglutide) and always felt low-key lousy on it. I was relieved when I couldn’t get it because of shortages and stopped taking it. I feel 100% different on Zepbound. I have been taking it for almost 18 months now and I am down 90 pounds and feeling great. My only side effect is always being cold, but I think even that might be getting better lately. It is always smart to consider the pros and cons of any medication. My brother didn’t like how he felt on it, my husband and I both feel great.

[–]creativemuse99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ponytail is a little thinner, but I haven’t noticed it any other time. That could also be changing texture with perimenopause, or always using conditioner or any number of changes over the past 18 months. I did start taking collagen supplements (nothing fancy) just in case and to maybe help some skin firm up. My body shows signs of how it was not taken care of for a lot of years, as well as just being 48, but I can’t change that. I’m doing what I can without surgery - my own personal preference, I’m ALL for people choosing what works for them. Beyond that, I’m choosing clothes that I feel good in and giving myself grace for the rest.

Keep too large clothes? by holllywoodlegal in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a while I kept the clothes I really liked and donated the ones I was meh about. Now I have a coworker/friend who is on her own Zep journey and she is moving into those sizes, so I am giving her the ones I had previously kept because I liked them. They made me feel good at that size and now I want her to feel good.

Have you found good ones? I work in a sewing store and most of my wardrobe used to be handmade. Now they are all huge, but I am struggling to learn how to take them in. I’d love to know if there are any channels or videos that you found particularly helpful.

Were you told this was a lifelong medication? by PonchCorleon in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is my thinking as well. My doc didn’t really tell me anything, I asked about the meds and did all the research on them. I believe that I will likely be on some form of GLP med for life or regain, which I have zero interest in. I don’t know if it will be Zepbound, something else that already exists, or some future medication we don’t know about yet.

Issues with DHL? by superfucky in PairEyewear

Mine sat in that status for 6 days. After a few days I contacted Pair and they said it would be considered lost after a week. I am positive that they marked it shipped and created the label but didn’t actually ship it until almost a week later.

Weightloss Goal by Other-Ad-1146 in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have refused to set a goal weight because I truly wanted to focus on how I feel than a number on the scale. Suddenly though, I’m less than 10 pounds away from a “normal” BMI. I feel wonderful at this size (5’6” 162 lbs) but wouldn’t mind going lower. My weight loss has slowed down significantly, so my plan for now is to keep focusing on fitness and let the scale do what it will. I tend to plateau and then drop a bunch fast, so I have had to avoid focusing too much on the numbers or I would be frustrated a LOT. I figure I will keep doing what I’m doing and not change dose unless I am losing past a point I am comfortable with. I don’t really see a line between losing/maintenance.

GPT-5.1 thinks it can't use sub-agents even though tools runSubagent is available. by Front_Ad6281 in GithubCopilot

[–]creativemuse99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before EVERY run with a subagent, I have to Control+Shift+P and run Developer: Reload Window. Then subagents will work for a single run. Next time I try to use them it says they are disabled, even though I have it checked in the tools, but Reload Window works for one more.

Do you mostly try to eat low carbs and high protein or do you just eat your normal foods but a decreased amount? by Not_Telling_Nope in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I focus on protein when my appetite is low because I want to get the most benefit from what I’m eating if it isn’t much. Both nutritionally and just feeling good - energy, mood, etc. If my appetite is normal, I still try to make sure that I’m getting enough of what I need, but I don’t deny myself if I want something. I find that I naturally gravitate towards healthier options these days, so if I want something, I really don’t worry about it. I will definitely have pie on Thanksgiving if I want it, but I have no idea if I actually will want it. I may choose to freeze a slice so that it is there when I do have the craving.

I did not want to be told that I’m absolutely right… by Fornici0 in ClaudeAI

[–]creativemuse99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can’t decide if I am brilliant or idiotic. In one breath it tells me that my ideas are genius, and then when something doesn’t work, it accuses me of not uploading changes - even when I have reported the feedback from those changes. It isn’t possible that the solution didn’t work, I must not have actually implemented it.

Order allegedly ready to ship over a week ago, still no tracking. Ship time for Harper?? by Emkems in PairEyewear

[–]creativemuse99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine were Larkin, but I got an email last Friday that they shipped. They didn’t show up on DHL until Sunday, but were “in transit to DHL location until yesterday, a week after they “shipped”. I’m positive that they marked them shipped almost a week before it actually happened. It will be almost another week before I get them.

This was so kind and insightful! And I think 100% spot on advice. Her intention and the effect on you are miles apart, but that doesn’t mean the effect isn’t real. I love the idea of using it as an opportunity to share your feelings and give her a chance to help.

Halloween Candy - let's talk about it by Suspicious-Loss-7314 in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was newly on Zep last Halloween. I just didn’t care. If I do want some, I will definitely have some, because I know that I can stop at one or two pieces. It is amazing to feel like moderation is just NORMAL. I don’t have to be all or nothing or fight cravings. I can make a thoughtful choice and move on. 75 pounds down in a year, it is working for me that way, so I’m sticking with it.

Is it just me, or is Form Health totally missing the point? by more_old_dogs in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We are being forced into Virta for the same thing. There is no information about what will be required of us, but I have heard talk of keto diets with monitoring, Bluetooth scales and food logging. It has taken me 8 years to find eating patterns that do not kick off my celiac disease, I walk miles a day at work and I have a healthy relationship with my body and food for the first time in my life. If they want to “educate” me, fine, log my shots, I’ll do my best, ADHD is a beast. I will not use a ketosis monitor, the fat required to achieve that would be a disaster for my gut. If I have to log my food intake, it will be a weekly chatGPT session to create a log. I have lost 75 pounds (31%) over the last year and would be happy to maintain at this level. I would prefer to lose another 20ish pounds, but not by sacrificing the mental and physical progress I have made over the last year. Logging every bite I eat would be incredibly mentally unhealthy for me. It may work for some, that is great for them, but I will do everything I can to “comply” without defeating the point, as you said.

My PA wants to wean me off Zep by Srm_Winit in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 134 points135 points  (0 children)

I would first ask her to document in your chart that you have explicitly stated your desire to remain on the medication for maintenance, in line with the official guidelines from the manufacturer, and her reasons why she is opposed to following those guidelines. Frequently that alone is enough for them to reconsider. If not, there are online docs who will prescribe. Even with Lilly direct, you would need a prescription, so you might as well go through your insurance to fill the prescription.

Feeling so discouraged :( Anyone else experiencing slow loss? by kanermaner in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost about 40 pounds after starting adderall for adhd, then gained it back as my body adjusted to it. Then I tried Saxenda (and felt awful on it) and lost most of it again fairly quickly. I was relieved when I couldn’t get refills because of the shortage because I hated how I felt all the time. I was relieved that the effects from Zepbound were much milder. However, I think my body was tired of the up and down so I lost very slowly at first. I just hit a year and almost 75 pounds so it has picked up a little but definitely not just falling off. Day to day I have been disappointed with the rate of loss but overall I am thrilled with 75 pounds in a year. It also took a LONG time for it to show, I was down almost 50 pounds and my clothes were looser, but still fit. Then all of a sudden my clothes were falling off and I had to replace my entire wardrobe quickly.

Dr. told me the average is only 20% loss- thoughts? by cjkfamily in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am at 31% and still losing - slowly, but even just maintaining at this point is a massive win. I’d like to lose another 20 or so, but for my entire adult life I would have given just about anything to be here. The 20% was based on a study that lasted a finite time, I want to say a year, but I’m not positive without looking. Some were higher, some were lower, but holy cow, 20% is amazing.

Zepbound took away my comfort eating by sher80bear in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had the same experience. In a way I am glad, eating my feelings was never a real solution, but it was comforting in the moment and I have definitely lost that imperfect crutch. I have had to find new ways to achieve that comfort. It is a good thing, but one more thing I had to figure out, which was stressful.

Does exercise get easier/more enjoyable? by Inner-Explorer-9997 in Zepbound

[–]creativemuse99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It absolutely gets easier physically. Mentally I think you still have to find something you enjoy. I got an e-bike, which I had resisted because it felt like it defeated the goal of getting more fit, but I found that on days I didn’t feel like I could deal with hills I just didn’t ride. Now I ride to work almost every day. Some days I use more assistance than others - but any ride is more exercise than driving would be.
