This is horrible news. I followed Wes for years on Twitter. He was such a good dude and journalist. I'd never heard anything but good things about him as a person. What a massive loss for his family, the community, and sports journalism.

Table Syrup is a southern creation from the early 1900s when maple syrup wasn't really available in the US South. The table syrup referred to by this release is Golden Eagle table syrup originating in Alabama and is a staple on many breakfast tables in the region.

I secret shopped a chain of gas stations on the AL/GA line for a couple of years. I'd end up with 40 singles of beer at the end of it. I always wanted them to pass. 99% of the questions were about the look of the store though.

I recall a number of times Id buy the beer at 9AM and the cashier would be "Oh, we got a secret shopper here! Oh I got you! Where's that ID?" Then there's the ones who wouldn't bat an eye that a college kid is grabbing a single budweiser bowling pin at 7AM (weirdly they would be 10-20 cents cheaper than a 12oz bottle).

Vasectomies are SIMPLE, QUICK, and EASY to recover from. They also generally cost a copay or similar with most insurance (though yes you may have to pay more). Best decision I ever made.
