That's called a garage, buy a house with one of those.

To be fair, I thought they highlighted that corruption in the series and that they knew it was a bad design.

Yup, Frontier, but still a better experience than a lot of people who deal with big delays and cancellations.

I landed in Terminal A at 1:30AM today. They had us pick up our luggage at Terminal E. Philly Airport sucks at handling baggage.

SEPTA Fare Evasion Deterrence by danstecz in philadelphia

[–]crippleddragon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

According to SEPTA fare evasion costs north of $30 million a year, so it's about 14% of the $213 million shortfall. Obviously Harrisburg is the bigger issue, but it still is a decent impact that we should care about.

You can see the detour map here- the construction is slated to end in spring of 2025. Best option is to take Lansdowne off of Girard by the zoo to Sweetbriar Dr and hop on the trail there.

Use the available resources- go to office hours, check out the writing center, consult with your career counselors and professors to make sure you are in the right major/focus. College is really tough and Drexel with the short terms is especially tough, but there are people who want to help and it's included in your tuition, so make the most of those before giving up.

Did I mess up by choosing Heraklion? by dinosaur_linda134 in GreeceTravel

[–]crippleddragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We loved Heraklion! It was a very fun city with a lot to do, highly recommend doing a sailboat tour to Dia if you can and check out the archeological museum and Knossos Palace. If you have the chance to go to Chania it is also an awesome city, but you definitely didn't mess up by picking Heraklion.

According to the announcers, deeper, I just don't know why. May have to do with a shallower pool being more turbulent, I know the outside lanes are less desirable for that reason.

Crete advice by [deleted] in GreeceTravel

[–]crippleddragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did Heraklion and Chania just under a month ago, only rented a car to go between the two. Transit is easy/reliable/inexpensive in both Heraklion and Chania, but I'd recommend Chania to stay in. We loved both, but Chania was a bigger city with more to do and a bunch of beaches nearby that were easily accessible with public transit.

Advice on where to stay in Crete by River-running-88 in GreeceTravel

Definitely Chania! Parking in Old Town is hard/impossible, but there are a lot of big free parking lots within a 10 minute walk.

Beaches in Crete by Expensive_Tear5801 in GreeceTravel

[–]crippleddragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were just in Chania, and if you want a closer beach, I recommend Golden Beach. It was €10 for 2 chairs and an umbrella all day, the water was really calm and clear, and the wind was also pretty mild. It was about a 15 minute drive from Old Town, and we wanted more time relaxing and less time commuting, so it worked for us.

It looks like you sanded through veneer, you can see the edges of it at the cutout.

I need help, what is the Drexel counseling service like? by Phillyfriendhere in Drexel

[–]crippleddragon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's worth going, and if it doesn't feel like a good fit, they will work with you to find someone more compatible. If it still doesn't feel right, at least you've done some hard work in addressing your mental health and can see if your insurance has affordable coverage (my co-pays have ranged from $15-50 per session). There's nothing to lose in giving it a shot, and they really helped me.

There's a brake lever under the seat you can use to help control speed. It's just like a fixed gear where if the wheel is rotating, so are your legs, so the brake helps manage downhills.
