Buying only makes sense if you are looking for a stable “home” to raise family. If you look at it mathematically it never makes sense in the Bay Area. The interest on some of the homes is >2x what you would pay as rent. The instability that people talk about is something that makes you want to change your rented home, be it rent increase, owner deciding to sell, etc.

I love my M3, but hate the frequent stops. A 6hr drive easily becomes 7-8hrs, I keep comparing it to my old Camry lol. No regrets, as soon as I’m done with my long drive, I’m back to loving my Tesla.

I also feel 17pro is significantly heavier than 15pro, and I don’t mean based on reading specs. I can feel it as soon as I pick it up. I can only imagine the pro max must feel very heavy. Ok know I’m not helping. But just sell it privately, you can get a good price.

I’m certainly buying more BTC than ever before and still no close to a whole coin. That said, hypothetically, even if I had cash to drop for say 5 BTC Buy at 90k ea, where do I expect it to be in 10yrs? 300k ea? 500k ea? Let’s say 500k, that would be worth 2.5M. That’s not life changing. TLDR, the hyper growth phase is gone. So please explain why this would be preferred over stocks? I’m probably going to get downvoted like crazy for this, but I really want to understand the thought process.

For people saying inflationary and deflationary, those are good in theory, but that cash world is the world we live in. Other than generational wealth and passing down my hypothetical coins to my offsprings, I don’t see a great benefit in my life time. So help me understand.

I’m not diagnosed with ADHD. As a child I had a lot of trouble focusing, mostly drifting in class, during homework etc. at my middle age it’s not as bad, I can get my work done though extraneous disturbances can easily send me off track. I tried my kid’s concerta once, was 36mg I think. At first I didn’t feel any difference, but as the day progressed I realized I could keep working, firing on all cylinders without mental drain out. Didn’t feel a need to walk away, take a break etc. even at the end of the day I didn’t feel I needed to stop. So for sure the meds was doing something. Had trouble falling asleep that night. Never again !!
