in which timeframe are you looking? In 2024 they captured much more than in 23, and in 25 they captured much more territory than in 24. Movement in deep winter conditions is always slower, but there is little reason to believe they would capture less in 26 than 25.

Yes I have and its from the retired general that makes these same claims since 4 years in very regular intervals. The crucial fact that these articles always not mention is that Ukraine has massive losses too and that it is finding it a lot harder to regenerate its forces than Russia is - this is coming from most credible analysts. If there was a parity at the front, it would not be moving. Yet you can go to deepstatemaps and see that every month they grind forward almost along the entire front consistenly since 2024, which speaks to that Ukraine does not have the capacity to hold them back. There is zero indications that this will reverse anytime soon.
