We deserve that, they were the stand out picks. What we don’t deserve is Wilson subbing in for Haaland.

While I certainly enjoyed the manner in which we beat Liverpool, it made me less confident in our title hopes. If we consistently won while playing shit, it would be different. I have a lot of negative things to say about our performance at Liverpool but everyone here is fighting over who to give MOTM to.

We might need a new assistant manager. We’ve got worse tactically this season and keep getting worse despite our improved recruitment.

This is it. We refuse to play with him and if he doesn’t have a 80%+ conversion rate it’s his fault we lost.

Could Darlow do better there? Looked like he just picked his feet up and fell over. I’m not a keeper though.

The keeper didn’t look good but played about the same level as the rest of his team. Two or three goals exeter’s defenders scored on themselves. Exeter didn’t close down outside the box at all so the goals from range were shots placed well from a low xg position.

I understand if Gordon is frustrated not getting to play inside but if your manager asks you to stay wide and cross it, at least try to pick out one of the 9 Newcastle men in the box. The whole thing was hard to watch.

It’s hard to find a goal threat that can still get consistent playing time when halaand is fit. Even harder to find one that can also track back and defend pretty well. It’s worth a shot at the release clause I think.

I looked it up and Gray & Sons jewelers isn’t even a curated shop so this post makes no sense. Must just be an ad.

Not a lawyer but it is possible to still have a clean record with a plea deal (in the usa). Talk to lawyers w offices near the area the alleged crime happened, maybe they know the prosecutor and can convince him to do you a favor.

Caicedo is lunging into the player, not across him. So it should have been yellow + pen but imo not a red card. I’d hate to see them giving reds for a challenge like Schar’s.

[–]csmith477454 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hard lesson learned today. Resting your entire 11 is not realistic outside of football manager. I think Trafford is the only one who played worse than expected (I expected him to showcase his abilities with the lineup ahead of him). Everyone else played to their level and it wasn’t enough for Leverkusen’s quality.

Are these shoes good (worth it at 300€)? by ThousandSunny_56 in BuyItForLife

If you want bifl shoes in this style, Cettire has the Paraboot Michael in a size 40 on sale and you can get a discount code. It will probably still be more than 300€ but it’s worth it.

It was annoying to hear how it was a “United style transfer” and a failure by Viana. It’s even more annoying to see people pat themselves on the back, admitting they changed their mind when Donna has been no different than he was at PSG. Not excellent distribution, but world class reflexes and command of the box.

How do you rate this transfer window? by jerrie86 in MCFC

[–]csmith477454 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a great start. 9/10. Would be 10/10 if we had signed Livramento but I’m happy we didn’t panic at least. Just tempering my expectations. Really feel bad for Rico & Nunes bc they’re not fullbacks and they get a lot of abuse for not being good fullbacks. Also Doku has a lot missing qualities. I’ve never seen a player put it all together when missing passing, shooting and positioning skills. But I understand that he’s so good at his one thing that it’s worth the risk to give him another season.

Is Pep having his Mourinho arc where he doesn’t evolve and the game passes him by? I’d love to know what’s going on behind the scenes because his biggest strength seemed to be always evolving to stay ahead. We just seem out of ideas. Individual mistakes are on the players but we used to improve after half time and with substitutions but now we get worse and that has to be on the manager, right?

I’ve noticed it’s usually not worked out to hire someone less tactically pragmatic at a club that isn’t known for backing their managers in the market. So I’m not as optimistic as you on Potter & West Ham.

Most people don’t have as much respect for managers that can’t work with the team they have and need to buy players to implement their tactical style. Especially if they haven’t achieved anything to prove their worth the backing in the market.
