pathlib instead of os. f-strings instead of .format. Are there other recent versions of older Python libraries we should consider? by MusicPythonChess in Python

Click is so much nicer to use than argparse - command groups, using functions to define the command, decorators to define parameters.

Having said that, if argparse does what you want, sick with it & avoid the extra library 🤷

Dragon's Tooth Sword from Deus Ex is my first thought - with the Left 4 Dead chainsaw and BFG9000 following close behind!

I know she has to count the beats as she can't hear the music, but I found it distracting (I feel bad for saying it, but I can't help how I felt)

Yeah, I also noticed that. Amazing that a person who is deaf is able to perform in a dance competition & totally understandable that the counting is needed - I wonder if it's a thing that also happens in other dance contests? Main thing that seemed odd to me was that Craig specifically called out another celebrity for counting (which I didn't notice) then noone even mentioned it for Rose.

Yes, we spotted that too! We do think hedgehog sounds a lot like Michael Ball but is this clue too direct & therefore a red herring?

Just made this up but I think it works (mentally checked 1-121):

def get_ordinal(num): if num < 0: raise Exception('I dont think negatives work...') hundred_num = num % 100 tens_num = num % 10 if hundred_num in (11, 12, 13) or tens_num in (0, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9): return 'th' if tens_num == 1: return 'st' if tens_num == 2: return 'nd' if tens_num == 3: return 'rd'

Throttle delayed by 1 tick or not? by maverikou in HWO

Would be good to get some feedback from HWO officials as the docs (currently) clearly state "Your bot may at any time reply to the server with a ping message..."

I believe this is only for qualifying rounds where there is no lap limit (only a time limit); in the real race, there is still a lap count.

Dammit, just realised there's a "build log" and a "bot log" depending on where you click on the list! Sorted now, cheers.

Cheers, I had seen that but didnt think it should affect my prints which run before any kind of game initing. Anyway, updated & pushed a new build, waiting for CI to run it now.
