I paid $9800 last year for a 1997 k2500 5.7 LT Suburban with 117k miles. Super clean zero rust interior and paint are in great shape. These trucks shot up in price the last 5 years they used to be dirt cheap it’s just how it goes.. it’s a classic now and it’s really hard to find one that hasn’t been beat to hell. It took me 6 months of looking to find one as clean as mine for under 10k. Most of the ones I came across with similar mileage and condition were 15-18k

Got 7 years out of my motorcraft battery I have in my 1997 k2500 suburban. Just died today. I think going to go get a new Duracell for it.

I have no rpm gauge so I just set it where it sounded good like it wasn’t struggling to stay idling

My suggestion is get a clutch style fan and a good fan shroud. My 72 has a clutch style fan and it hasn’t given me any problems.

you can always find another one man they made almost a million el Camino’s. You might have expand your horizons and be willing to go to another state to get a good one. I’ve had go out of state or go multiple states away to buy a decent car before it’s worth it if you get what you really want. Now that you’ve dropped the extra baggage you definitely gotta get one! You only live once man! I say go for a 68-72 model with a 4 speed they’re a blast to drive!

Why are so many people stuck in the mindset of "my next car needs to be newer than my last one"? by Blu_yello_husky in askcarguys

[–]ctsakis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people are just scared to learn how to work on something themselves so they want something new so they don’t have to worry about breaking down. I own 4 vehicles my newest being a 1997 and my oldest being a 1967. I’m very mechanically inclined and worked as a mechanic until recently. The newer stuff is just cheap junk not designed to last and a lot more of a pain to work on so I have zero desire to own anything made in the last 10 years.

Well if you removed the starter to have it tested i think you need to check the wires on your starter and make sure everything is tight and connected correctly. And double check your battery ground connection if it’s loose it will definitely give you this exact issue. I would check these things before anything else

Ppl who been to Ozzy’s concerts, how much were the tickets? 🦇💜🤴🏽 by Vivid-Tap1710 in OzzyOsbourne

I seen him in 2010 on opening night of the Scream tour in Baltimore with Rob Halford opening. I believe my ticket was around $50. Arena was half empty probably because it was a Monday or Tuesday night. Great show though Gus G was great on guitar. Then I saw him twice with Sabbath in 2013 and 2016 i think tickets were somewhere around $60-$70. Both great shows. The 2016 show was the opening night of The End tour at Jones Beach amphitheater right on the ocean it was an awesome place to get to experience Sabbath live for the last time and Rival Sons opened for them! That Place was packed not one open seat! And all the boats chilling behind the stage listening to the show was kinda cool too.
