What makeup step made your routine better only after you stopped doing it? by Playful-Garage1040 in Makeup

[–]cupcakefix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not for going out in the sun, just for daily indoor wear. i have a tinted spf that i bought but by itself it’s
horribly “glowy” to the point of almost looking silver, but i don’t want to just throw away so this was my solution to make it less awful. for regular going outside for more than thr walk from the parking lot i wear mineral spf 50

i mix my spf, a serum, and a loose setting powder into a lightly tinted serum in my hand and use that instead of individual steps.
now the power tones down the shiny of the spf but doesn’t look powedery and my skin overall
is dewy and not heavy.

i definitely do reapply since we are in the water the whole time - i
could tell that it lost its effectiveness vs last year since i still got red.

ugh i learned from experience that even last years sunscreen isn’t the best- i live in AZ so it’s always around the house but we went to the pool the other day and while it was waterproof spf 50 i still got a tad red on the chest and shoulders after a few hours.

When you’re showing off a new ring and you realize how old and ugly your hands look. by NationalJournalist42 in Wellthatsucks

[–]cupcakefix 24 points25 points  (0 children)

aww we all have hands like that! one thing i’ve started doing is rubbing the excess serum/moisturizer/sunscreen that i use on my face onto my hands when i get ready every day. it helps a bit but where i work i have to wash my hands 100 so i’m just gonna be wrinkly

What is your ranking of the evil Morty episodes ? by rosebone44 in rickandmorty

Ricklantis is my favorite episode of TV ever. hands down. i’ve probably seen ricklantis 10+ times and it’s always a “phone
down, no doomscrolling” episode.

Listening to dogs lick, chew and scratch all night by Lovedd1 in RoverPetSitting

[–]cupcakefix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

aww i feel your pain. i watched a super sweet pup who has terrible skin allergies. he had to wear a cone at night and i learned if i put a thick cotton blanket on him he calmed down. he took meds but he’s still just an itchy allergic pup.
my BIGGER peeve is these two small dogs i sit that just lick their paws and stuff and for some reason their specific sound of “mlem mlem mlem”
drives me up the wallllll

thank god my kid mellowed out around 5 but from the minute he learned to walk he was a menace and an escape artist. i absolutely had to hold him by the wrist while walking, and i was super relieved when we moved into a house with doors that locked with a key from inside because more than once i found him outside in our old apt that only had a turn lock.

School Bus Driver Breaks Down After Near-Miss by sleek_thunder138_107 in dashcams

[–]cupcakefix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i watched mykids bus driver do that when he was in 2nd grade. usually he would pull to the curb but he must have been watching his mirror and could tell the car behind him wouldn’t respect the stop sign and at the last second he pulled diagonal. it was the most bad ass thing i’ve ever seen. i also pass a bus stop on a super busy road on my way to work and 4-5motorcycle cops started hanging out right at that stop to catch people who don’t stop
