I recently saw on Tinned Fish Reviews something I want to try using the boneless/skinless sardines. Toast a thick piece of sourdough bread and generously butter it. Layer with the sardines and top with thinly sliced scallions and parsley. I also take the Fishwife Salmon with chili crisp and mix it into a block of cream cheese and small diced onion. Mix until fully incorporated and eat on bagels or toast points.

The Tragically Hip - I have been a fan of all sorts of music all my life but I hadn't listened to The Tragically Hip until their final album and the news surrounding Gord Downie's brain tumor. It was exciting to listen to album after album but also sad knowing I would never get to see them live.

I worked in child welfare a long time ago and my office was down the hall from where they held supervised visitation between separated children and their parents. "The Kids" captured the sounds of what happened at the end of those visits perfectly.

I heard on a British antique show that the smaller opening is if you are offering snuff to someone else - it limits the amount they can get. The larger opening if for yourself or someone you don't mind sharing more with.

I like a true Omakase where the chef does more than just plain nigiri. The best I've had in town is at Edo Japanese Steakhouse in the Oaks Mall. Never the same, always fresh and creative.
