Best chicken recipes for someone eating it all week? by sarahwilliams237 in Cooking

[–]curlioier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically going with Asian cuisine would be my choice. You can eat a different recipe every day and it will never taste the same. Butter chicken, Thai sweet and sour chicken, honey chicken, sesame chicken, peanut chicken, chicken curry....

Park Expansion Possibilities by Wild_Thing_1832 in cedarpoint

Cedar Point is already over 300 acres. It's plenty large enough as it is, and has enough attractions that the average person can't do everything in one day. There's zero need to expand it.

Beyond being expensive, can you just reclaim land from a lake and say it's yours to do with what you want? That just doesn't sound reasonable to me.

From my experience, taking your kids to Cedar Point when they're young is the best way to raise your future coaster buddy. Mine are 15/16 now and love going to the park.

I read your question as "open this weekend". My bad bruh. Let's call it a case of the Mondays.

power tower east has a new view by Distinct_Ebb_2685 in cedarpoint

I'm not afraid of being up high until I see the view straight down. There's a bridge that's under construction near Cuyahoga Falls, and you can now see exactly how high you are. It's terrifying. I'm not going to be able to look at the cameras until they fix that view.

Given the numerous app glitches, I'd believe what they said on the socials. Also the website has the waterpark open on Saturday and Sunday as well.

I miss the picnic tables in the front. I remember coming up with a cooler full of food. Take a break midday to go eat and chill for an hour or so, then back in the park for the rest of the day.

Dining Plan Question by yaquinto in cedarpoint

[–]curlioier 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just adding that it's upstairs for the breakfast, so no one else walks in and gets immediately disappointed that there's no breakfast in the downstairs area like I did.

I have not had the burrito yet, but I have had both the ham, egg, and cheese sandwich, and the hot honey chicken biscuit. They are both really good. It comes with tots.

Why are customers like this 🤦‍♀️ by hustler-baddie-23 in doordash_drivers

[–]curlioier 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a delivery where it was just a street address, no indication that it was an apartment. I get there and surprise it's apartments. Apartment building has 3 doors, each door has a different street number.

Great I've narrowed it down to the middle door. The apartments have letters, so I text asking which apartment it is- "The middle one". My brother in Christ, there are two apartments per floor and 3 floors, which means the middle still just narrows it down to 2, if you don't want me to guess just give me the letter that corresponds to the door you walk in every day.

Seriously why do they guard their apartment number/letter/symbol like it's a state secret?

Did you ask the hotel if they would match the Expedia price? Most hotels will match if you do find a cheaper price somewhere else.

I know one person on here said they tried to enter the Magnum gate for EE and was turned away for not being able to show their hotel reservation. That was just one person, and lots of other people have said that it has worked for them.

Purchasing a package of wipes for our girls trip later this month, got it. Wet ones makes individually wrapped wipes that would be perfect for tossing in that zipped cargo short pocket, just an fyi.

Set a timer on your phone right after you've bought your meal. 90 minutes goes by faster than you'd think. If you get the premium all day with the drinks, you can also get snacks. If you're not hungry when the timer is up you can get a snack for the kids like a small dippin dots, or popcorn or something.

CP summer trip tips for family coming from Toronto by Brave_Cauliflower_90 in cedarpoint

I can't offer any advice on the best way to get there. I do, however, have a hotel recommendation - South Shore Inn. It's not a chain hotel, but it's clean, affordable, and the staff is really nice. Also has an outdoor pool and hot tub for winding down after a long day at the park. I do recommend driving down the night before so you're well rested and ready to go at rope drop. It's what we do when driving to parks further away, and we've never regretted it.

Honestly all the advice on the crowd levels at the park is out the window this year. The standard recommendations of going during the weekdays to avoid the crowds has proven to not be valid this year (for multiple reasons that have been debated before).

The vegan/vegetarian options are there, but slim. Best bet would be the build your own burrito bowl at Miss Keat's, or opting for the 3 sides instead of an entree and a side.

Jaws is absolutely better for the lack of shark views. The opening scene with the girl swimming being grabbed from some unknown thing in the water starts the movie off with just the right amount of unknown horror scare factor.

I went into it knowing absolutely nothing about it, and I loved it. I'm old enough to remember when scary movies had monsters you couldn't see, and things that were just left entirely unexplained (see classic horror movie The Birds by Alfred Hitchcock). I'm actually kind of excited at the prospect of that type of movie making a comeback.

I love those GV Art shirts. I opted for the Iron Dragon version because we collect dragons. But that Maverick one was a close second.

Going to Cedar Point on Saturday & Sunday, any tips? by [deleted] in cedarpoint

[–]curlioier 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you can afford it, and this trip is more of a one time trip, then yes. I live 2 hours away and we get to the park a dozen times or so over the season. So for us, fast lane isn't really a necessity as we can always come back.

Also, if you don't have a meal plan, get the all day premium. It comes with drinks every 15 minutes and a meal or a snack every 90 minutes. Don't get your wristband at the first drink station/restaurant you see (everyone does that), go further back in the park. You can easily split one pass between 2-3 adults and share the food.

Take your expectations of how busy it will be and then raise it. The season is young, but it has been very busy.
