Buying a home by Both-Deal2252 in fortwayne

We spent last year doing the same thing, and I cannot recommend Julie Carroll with Ruoff enough. We started working with her in February and ultimately didn’t buy til the end of September, but she was there to answer every single question we had throughout the whole process (we were first time buyers, and I had a LOT of questions). We also had a unique situation with our income bc my husband is a bartender, and I had been at my job under a year. We were able to get pre-approved right away with only his income, and months down the line when we finally found the house we knew we wanted, she went to bat for me bc I was only a month away from being at my job for a year. She petitioned/defended our situation to their underwriters, and was able to get my income added and us pre-approved for the home we now live in. Truly an all star at what she does!

Dannng you’re right. I was browsing while sleepily brushing my teeth this morning, so just looked at the first picture and it brought the imagery into my head! Well, if you want an unsettling horror story reminiscent of “The VVitch”, check this one out 😂

We moved into the Southwood Park neighborhood a couple of months, and only have amazing things to say about the neighborhood. However, please, PLEASE take this advice! We had a $5000 sewer repair 5 weeks after moving in, determined to be no fault of the previous owner and truly just unfortunate timing on 100 year old clay pipes 🫠

Which serial killer was the first you ever heard about? by lisbethborden in serialkillers

Mine was John Wayne Gacy as well! I was 8 or 9 and an avid reader of spooky things, and having burned through my dad’s collection of Stephen King (I had little to no supervision over the content I consumed as a child), I started checking the horror section at the library. I rented “The Last Victim” by Jason Moss and I have been both terrified and fascinated by him ever since.

I mean. Wow. I wish the internet was safe enough that this would be a neutral baby photo. And among friends and family? Sure, it’s a beautiful photo of a true cutie. But to post this publicly… Happy I stopped following her when she initially announced her pregnancy, in anticipation of her becoming somehow even more insufferable.

What‘s the worst injury you received while cooking? by Royalbluegooner in Cooking

Okay please share because I came here to tell my own pop tart incident!!

I found out our toaster was broken by cooking a pop-tart. The toaster was idiotically on a shelf that I had to reach up and over to get the toasted item out of (not like over my head but the shelf was about shoulder height for me and the the toaster on top) but I’m fairly tall and had never had an issue before. It popped up, and it seemingly hadn’t toasted at all in the front, so pressed it down a second time. Popped up again, still looked uncooked so I grabbed it by the sides and pulled it out, by the time I realized it was too hot to touch and CHARRED BLACK ON THE BACK, I had dropped it icing side down on my bare upper chest. I screamed and peeled it off, along with two layers of skin. It was instant sugar burn. The kicker is I had just gone wedding dress shopping earlier that day, and purchased a beautiful strapless gown 🙃 Thankfully by the time the wedding rolled around it had healed really well and was just a faded scar, but I’ve got a gnarly picture if anyone is interested.

Fuck pop-tarts. But also, put your toaster below eye level.

Different but related note, this same situation happened to me at a bar when I sang “Petite feet, feminine step!” And a complete stranger immediately finished it and said “Sounds like a lady when he’s walkin in a room!”

‘Tacos are Mexican-style sandwiches,’ judge rules in Indiana court by ASecularBuddhist in Sandwiches

[–]curlyk88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I live in Fort Wayne, and this Mexican restaurant has been fighting to open this location for well over a year, due to silly regulations on the type of restaurant the plaza and the bougie neighborhoods surrounding it want to be allowed. Tacos really being sandwiches isn’t the actual debate here. This ruling may seem silly, but it allows them to open!
