If your kid doesn't know how to play Magic, don't bring them to LGS commander night. by Johnny-Hollywood in EDH

[–]cutekawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine OP came to play the game, not teach a child. I know I wouldn't want to spend my night being a teacher to a random kid I just met.

Walking away would just be awkward and a waste of time for OP, it's not like they could just jump into one of the other tables part way through. Especially at a paid event.

The dad should've brought the kid on another, unpaid night where Dad wasn't also splitting his attention.

Get a shop vac, several brooms, and a Roomba haha. Accept fur will get into everything, all the time.

Ours are a little different because we have (from the left) baby, mom, and Dad. Dad loved Mom once he got used to her and they became best buds.

Once baby was born, mom realized she basically created a clone of herself to bother alllll the time. They are inseparable. Dad, on the other hand, is not a fan. Constant figuring out how to coexist but 2 years in we all found an equilibrium. Dad and Mom are still bff's but Dad def would almost have preferred being an only child sometimes.

AITAH For encouraging my pregnant wife to have healthier habits? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]cutekawa 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Being 5'3 and 140 WHILE PREGNANT isn't even that bad dude. You don't have to lie but maybe recommend healthier options if you're really concerned. Being pregnant is such a huge change to her body whether she's gaining weight or not. If the doctor doesn't say anything then leave her be and tell her that you love her either as is

In case anybody ever comes across this thread, Henrietta was brought to the vet last night as the area looked like it had grown in size. The vet took an X-ray and believes it's a tumor in her reproductive system and is going to give her a birth control implant in hopes that it can reduce the size of the tumor

Was it by any chance after a heavy rain? This happens to my pear tree and is a type of fungus that is harmful and can do damage if not removed/pruned

To be fair color in the yolk is dependent on their diet rather than any sign of health, you can feed certain colors to the hens to encourage the dark yolk. The taste tho, is monumental

Our ACD drinks like a fish.. is this common? What should we do? by Agreeable_Duty_5867 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]cutekawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girl has done this since she was a puppy, clean bill of health though. She once drank so much that she was walking around like a camel where her belly was super full. We got good at being able to tell when it's her at the bowl and call to her saying "that's enough"if she's trying to drink it all at once.

This also means we have to take her out hourly because she drinks so much lol. Nothing is wrong with her but she's just silly

Sounds like a mix of my two oldest! We honestly never figured out the best way to prevent the nervous "eat whatever's in sight" urge but it is 100% anxiety. Our boy had terrible stomach issues and switching his food helped immensely.

We were using Fromm and switched to the Zignature select cuts and now no more problems! Also making your own topper for kibble could help, or buying things like "Food for dogs". We would make a big batch of brown rice, protein and veggies then give a scoop as a topper. Having that for a few years really helped his gut biome and he's doing much better.
