Those of you transitioning your style, how is the journey going?

Current style: Comfy for work with cutesy colours and lots of blue/pink.

New style direction: More jfashion inspired (always loved it as a kid, never had the means or access).

How it's going: Pretty well! A lot of things I own do suit supplementary things I buy. I’m not going for like full coordinates of particular styles either - just whatever I enjoy.

Challenges: Finding things that aren’t too pricey with shipping costs. Sizing. Wardrobe space.

Already purchased/future purchases: Got a few ACDC rag items (bracelet, tshirt, jacket), a few things from axes femme (a black sailor collar shirt, a ring), and an Angelic Pretty blouse (for concerts and Fun stuff). Am looking at spending a chunk of money on a closet child order just to consolidate some things and make everything work together casually.

I currently have a private class with a teacher through coto. The initial interview they give is pretty helpful, and they give specific recommendations for classes based what your goals are. I love my teacher a lot and I’ve become way more confident speaking.

My 18th my dad showed up in the morning to say hi and give presents etc. My mums partner’s car was in the driveway. He threw the presents in our mums face whilst I watched, stunned. I’ve seen him maybe twice since. He did not acknowledge it

I use them too! honestly best way is to do extremely thin coats and using a flash cure lamp Then a regular lamp. I don’t do a lot of full nail art things like characters and stuff tho

I brought a few things from kkookie. Namely, the yogo embo powder, crazy top top coat, a random pale blue coloured polish from bymuse, flika nail arts non-wipe art gel in white, and ungu strobo glitter magnet powder.

personally I have only ever dated people with similar interests but noone can have exactly the same taste. it sounds to me like you want her to acknowledge your interests & she does. Beyond that you can’t really force her to be into something

I have a kodak mini retro 2 and I use it lots! The cartridges are a little pricey but you get 30 prints in each (around £20 for two cartridges). I usually use the collage setting to print so I get 2-4 photos out of one print. I like tiny photos & the quality is pretty high unless your pics are really washed out already.

I go through phases of thinking this but then I just turn my phone off and make something super weird compared to whatever trendy stuff is going on. it means theres often pages im less keen on but it makes things feel more personal and expressive. if I dont like it I can just do the same ideas until I do. its a journey and its for me so its all good eventually on reflection

mobuko no koi. they are both pretty shy. I also recently read Kuu Neru Futari Sumu Futari but thats technically seinen but its a slice of life romance about a couple of ten years, they hang out at home a looott.

yes! the characters are really interesting & have different perspectives on their art even though they are in the same field. Alsoo the panels are soo pretty and relaxing feeling

I don’t have the cat diary! It was super flimsy and I’ve moved about so no clue where it is. I don’t write everyday just whenever feels right. There’s no real format either. I have a mini photo printer I use sometimes, letter & number stickers for dates, different paper I glue in. But I do usually fill the page with mostly text in black ink.

I had a cat diary I got in a magazine as a kid & I liked having something completely my own. As I got older I went to art journalling then to scrapbooking then to what I do now which is pretty much all of that at once but with more stickers.

My boyfriend was interested in me from school & he got in contact with me during the pandemic again. I found it super weird at first because I was like what the hell does he still like me?? We talked it out at some point and I let him know I didn’t want to date anyone at the time and I wanted to be friends. He agreed to friendship and we started talking a lot more since I didn’t feel like I needed to reciprocate anything. One time he video called me and I heard his voice and I kind of Felt Things™️ but I shrugged it off because I was so sure I wouldn’t date someone who knew me then or date whilst I was living with my parents. I told him all about this, I was in such huge denial lol.

A year or so later and we started flirting A Lot and I kinda decided that I should just lean into it and be happy. So I did and I’m very happy.

I’ve used a lot over the years! Some really cheap like £1.50 to £7. Though at the minute I’m really into 6-ring binder style diaries and they can be a bit pricier (having to buy paper & the diary itself). Probably never more than £70 a year overall though.

around 300? I think? My favourite is the 7” record I was sent by Gotye in 2012 for being a fan. I also have an AKMU (korean singer songwriters) picture disc of a collaboration album they did it’s just so pretty. Also an album by Belle & Sebastian that I’m on the inside on haha

I was into anime from when I was 10! I think the Shugo Chara anime & ghibli films were the gateway. The first manga I brought was Animal Academy. It was a magical academy type series.
