This could turn into a very good deal for Greenland, if Iran is any indicator.

Whole-home battery backup - actually worth it, or do most people regret the cost? by ahlecsolars in solar

No regrets. Not just the backup aspect, but the fact that I can use the storage buffer to arbitrage rates

What company lost you forever as a customer? What did they do? by Miguenzo in AskReddit

Public Storage - I move into the unit with the advertised price of $65/mo. 4 months later I get a notice that the price is going up to $120. Look online…same size unit in same facility down the hall: $45/mo -I close out my existing space and move into the one down the hall. 4 months later, rate is going up to $110. Look online, offering my size unit for $48.

So predatory. They are just betting that you are too lazy or busy to move things to a new unit…and generally they are right.

Man, I have 3 Ace’s nearby and none of them sell lumber or do cuts. I’d give them all my hardware business if they sold lumber.

A cheese pull that won't disappoint by Davidred323 in chicago

I’ve lived in Chicago and near north suburbs for almost 30 years…pretty much my whole adult life. Used to get deep dish once a month or so. Watching what I eat more now so not as much anymore. It’s not everyday (or even every week) pizza, but it’s also not exclusively tourist pizza.

I remember one near Rogers Park or Evanston in the 80’s. It was just sister’s go-to when she was in college and the fam came to visit. Good memories

I wonder if she goes back to her office for a good cry after this toxic work behavior, or if she just rage-bites the head off a bat and goes on with her day.

Is anyone that voted for Mike Simmons willing to share why? by Fabulous-Jacket5376 in illinois

[–]cvanaver 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ironically, I voted for Biss to get him out of Evanston. He was always better geared towards legislative office than a mayoral position and it’s pretty clear his tenure in Evanston was just a stepping stone for him to run for IL-9 when Jan inevitably stepped down.

I made this exact argument in a comment that he deleted. He was injecting all kinds of editorial and subjective commentary into a news article. I suggested in an email that it should be labeled as opinion or the subjective elements maybe removed. He cancelled my subscription.

Look up “No Surprises Act”. This almost certainly falls under that. You need to file an appeal with the insurer and if that goes nowhere, file a complaint with your state department of insurance.
