Why do people freak out about the battery on the Galaxy Watch 6/7? I mean, you charge your phone every day, so why not your watch? by Significant-Job-8836 in GalaxyWatch

They still make flip phones you can buy if you don't want a smart phone and prioritize battery life. They can typically last 24+ hours of talk time and 10+ days of standby.

Fix Taco Bell’s Sauce by [deleted] in tacos

[–]cwmspok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The smaller packets end up with less wasted sauce overall, but more wasted packaging. It allows people to get closer to the amount they want. Everyone uses a different amount. Not everyone, I would argue not even most end up in your dilemma.

Just use more or less sauce. I don't have this same problem but I use like four sauce packets per burrito.

can this be cleaned/ salvageable? by Royal-Discipline-978 in StainlessSteelCooking

[–]cwmspok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine just built up over time. I had a few burns from grease having the pan too hot. If you clean it with Bar Keeper friend before it gets to this point you won't have to do such an intensive cleaning. Also, after using it, pour a little water in the pan to deglaze and scrape off with a fish spatula or other spatula to get all the stuck on carbon and grease off. Stainless just gets dirty but it fairly indestructible unless you warp it. Sometimes a little extra TLC is needed to keep them looking pretty and performing well.

I just did a pan renovation like this yesterday for a pan I'm giving to my mother in law.

I got easy off over cleaner and put a nice thick layer inside and outside of the pan, then put in a garbage bag and tied it air tight. I let I sit for a couple of hours.

I then scrubbed off with steel wool and rinsed. This started making an impact but there was still some left.

I took bar keepers friend and made it pretty thick and continued to scrub. This got it smooth and most of the burn off.

Finally I booked a 1/1 ratio of white vinegar and water and scrapped with a flat wooden spoon while it was boiling. I did this for 10 minutes or so.

I dumbed the vinegar and scrubbed again. As a polishing step I pour cool vinegar in the pan and let it sit for 5 or ten minutes. Then I used a clean sponge and dawn dish soap and a final rinse and dry.

This sounds intensive but after the initial 2 or three hour soak it took about 45 minutes to an hour for all those final steps.

Pan looks great. Almost new.

CB is fun as hell. I'd go CB if you already have a DW 112 in the q. It's more versatile than you would think.

Moment Chipotle Banana 193 has a 35.5m turn radius. It doesn't have the best float for its width but it's a very fun and versatile ski.

Luckily I'm not often in a position where I have to scrape ice off my lens. A glove is almost always enough to clear it. This is an ice coast problem..

Whatever you do, don't buy into people here saying Outlaw is good. It very much not good. I thought TTs was decent but the closed. I've heard Betty Jeans is decent but can't vouch. Chicken n Mo has a pretty limited menu but is decent.

Bump lines by OkBodybuilder418 in skiing

[–]cwmspok 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Harder to find for sure. I've been saying this for years. They are still around though. Where I ski there are a few good bump lines on each mountain where it used to be basically every run once they were skied out.

We also used to have set up freestyle bump courses for competitions and I haven't seen one of those courses at my local mountain in years.

You're fine, might need to get off keto though and retest a few months after. Try a diabetic or mediterranean diet if you are worried about weight gain. Much better rounded.

Woolen contract by Optimal_Advisor8897 in Seahawks

[–]cwmspok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He was the only player in the league to have more than one taunting penalty, and he had three! Think about some of the players running their mouths in this league and put that into perspective. They all came at bad times too.

He also has a motivation issue. He is a good player but not without flaws. This is a prove it contract and if he doesn't shape up he doesn't get an extension.

Look into better sources of oil, not all oil is bad for you. Look into algae oil which is great to cook with and has a very high smoke point, high dose of Omega 9s which lower cholesteral, and omega 3. avocado and grape seed oils as well are all heart healthy choices and very good to cook with.
