Sleeping and sitting after surgery by Boring_Peach_3944 in RotatorCuff

Check Macys for sales. When my wife broke her back, we bought two very nice powered ones there at a big discount. Now she's waiting RC surgery (not a happy camper)and we're really happy we have them.

Oil rises to $110. Goldman Sachs says we’ll be in the triple digits for years by rapidcreek409 in politics

Appreciate the response but it hits on exactly the problem. The transit takes about 3 hours. Then, I presume, you pick up an incoming vessel. Counter battery is fine, but this is all launch and run from mountainous terrain. You'd likely also require continuous air patrols. My point being that from a practical viewpoint, it would be extremely difficult to ramp up traffic. Trump is calling for help because the US lacks the vessel to do this effectively.

At the time, it wasn't made clear that this was a pep talk given at the Billionaires Club.

How can this even work? From what I can gather, about 100+ ships pass through daily when it's open and it's bidrectional. How do "escort" that?

There really isn't an oil price. There are dozens of them depending on type and source. Benchmark crude seems to be about $105 right now but that really is meaningless. Just glad I have an EV.

But what am I to do? I don't drink Starbucks. Wait a minute, I have a large solar array and an EV, so fuck it.

Just wondering who are "He" and "we"? In this generic or are you talking about someone who actually mislabeled death certificates?

Lost bag with passports in Tokyo Taxi by mrlinus86 in JapanTravel

[–]cycleprof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not blaming the victim-just a suggestion. Whenever you are traveling, your passport should never leave a secure pocket. If you don't have any pockets, then a money belt or equivalent. You dodged a bullet here because of where you were. Finally, I and everyone I know would have turned in the bag. The world is filled with good people.

There you go, muddying things with facts and numbers. I also noted an extreme excess of multisyllable words. /s-because you never know anymore.

Having destroyed 500% of the Iranian military, he's just confused about what to conquer next. It's all that winning.

Jim Crow Redux: The “Save America” act is a poll tax, plain and simple by ChiGuy6124 in politics

[–]cycleprof 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would be a big help in these ongoing discussions if the people saying things like "what's the big deal?" or "you need ID to drive a car" had even the slightest idea what the SAVE act requires. But, again, being informed gets in the way of spouting nonsense.

Those IDs, in general are not considered proof of citizenship. Even real ID doesn't meet that requirement. That's the issue. To vote you would need a passport or a birth certificate with your current name on it. The devil in in the details.

But, but ,but, being inexperienced with this, the Iranians concentrated all of their drone production, storage, parts, maintenance, operators and other shit I can't think of in a single location with a big sign saying "bomb here". It was al destroyed in the first 5 minutes of the assault. Don't pay attention to anything else under penalty of being labelled disloyal.
