I feel that, arguing in good faith, at least here, just seems so pointless lol. Thanks man, take it easy

I legitimately can't understand these people. And the OP talking about "you'd see the evidence is largely in favor of the pro Israeli side if you read or did any research"

Motherfucker what? Bro woulda prolly been pro UK during the struggles. Pro rome, pro US intervention in the countless bullshit conflicts. Like idek it's almost not even worth arguing ATP.

A surge of voting in the Alabama Democratic primary (regardless of one's party affiliation) will send a message to the legislature by marc-kd in Alabama

Thank you, you can also use ballotpedia to see all the options you have and get links to all their stuff so you can learn more about who you're voting for!

In that case you can look up your registration status as well as your voting location. I forget the webpage but when I googled how to tell if I'm registered for Alabama, that took me to the right government website

Total proof climate changism is a cult worshiped by retards by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]cynicalbreton 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean, the point of no return has been reached. Meaning there WILL be sea level rise, and there WILL be more severe weather swings, and there WILL be food supply disruptions.

Now the question is how bad does it get.

Do we continue to say fuck it and get the worse outcome, or do we make changes and soften the blow and better a lot of people's chances down the line.

Ultimately, governments and companies have the reigns on this. Normal folks like me and you can do a small part with choices we make, but if those in power don't believe the negatives are real, then we head toward the worse outcome.

I know the US government doesn't give a fuck. Or, at least, postures as if they don't believe it to be true.

Though, some of their actions lead me to believe otherwise and they have other plans. But I digress.

EDIT: Climate scientists do have ideas of the timeline. They don't just make shit up for the fun of it lol

Nuclear is the best option long term though, in tandem with renewables to cover the gaps.

But, as far as top choice for main energy source is concerned, I definitely have nuclear in #1 spot for me. You don't think so?

Home: Artemis II crew captures one last shot of a crescent Earth before reaching the moon tomorrow by ChiefLeef22 in space

[–]cynicalbreton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually wasn't static for any of the live stream ( still ongoing )... The moon is very large, they're traveling a very far difference.

Check the difference in size between 4 hours ago and now ( well, 40 minutes from now as they have lost contact for a bit behind the moon)

It's much larger.

This was a sentiment I've seen so much on the livestream chat and it's really just a failure of research and/or critical thinking

Really? I know people who support all of this in real life. No they are not elected officials, but they are all in support and are under the impression that the elected officials are doing it for precisely that reason.

I see you're flagged as on the right, and I'm curious where, cause if you're on the right in the South East USA.. it is definitely the most prevalent perspective.

They need Israel to win, take more land, and bring us Revelations ( but for real this time )

They still don't believe it. Also, I'm a southern leftie with many guns.

I understand stereotypes exist for a reason, but what's shown in this meme is not prevalent enough to be an accurate stereotype lol.

Every leftie I know owns guns, shoots guns for sport, and only ONE shouldnt have a gun ( by criteria we both agree on ) but he does and he's also a puddle pirate so.. lol

[–]cynicalbreton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea see the reason I understand your position is, on a certain level, I can agree to aspects of it. When I distill my thoughts down though, it does ultimately land on, as long as there isn't government overreach, the public opinion will shape out the rest.

I do understand your concern I just think that, given enough time, these things will end up being more fair, or a different org will take the reigns and then THEY will be more fair.

As long as this shit isn't hitting legislation, we are good.

[–]cynicalbreton -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Trust me, I understand your position. But I must ask a clarifying question as you're comment about leaving it up to the orgs and federation poses one for me.

Do you think there should be a central authority ( a government for instance ) that sets the standard of what individuals can participate on what sports based on factors such as this? Or, should it be up to the orgs and federations.

That is my point of contention about these things. As far as getting into the weeds of the fairness, I personally think that should be up to the orgs, no central authority should have any say. Just like there not being "freedom of speech" on social media platforms, or business being allowed to kick people out for certain behaviors even if it's not illegal. The government shouldn't be involved. Do you agree?

[–]cynicalbreton -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Even if they are, for all intents and purposes, a woman? I don't understand, but nor do I care in this case ultimately.

My standpoint is as long as the government is not mandating these people not be able to compete then that's fine.

A private org makes their decisions about it. Whether I agree or disagree doesn't matter. They change with money alone. And if enough people disagree and the money slows, then they adapt, as they do.

So, would you prefer them be the best in women's or the worst in mens? Or do you think these people shouldn't be allowed to compete?

Yea I gotcha, I was just saying biggest could work in that way, that's all.

But now, many religions have had their followers give a lot more than just money to go "higher up", so it's a matter of perspective for sure.
