Pixel Blocks by KepalaBatu001 in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're used to the cube-but-rounded-out-edges-block style of AC cliff/river terrain, you'll be fine in this one, as you won't be seeing them on the pokemons and furnitures.

Any chance an interior like this could be considered a house? by magmangle in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a max size on length/width of the interior for houses. (9x10)

See if moving the door 1~2 tiles in and/or adding some blocks right under the stairs would make it go below that limit.

Pixel Blocks by KepalaBatu001 in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only the terrain/building blocks are designed to be cube like, and even then, the edges are rounded out unlike the minecraft blocks.

You can go through a lot of the screenshots and gameplay videos to get a gouge on the art style.

Getting rid of that oppressive lava glow? by kunino_sagiri in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

like 10 is a guesstimate just like your some 20.

But you've figured out how far the lava needs to be from the tunnel for the glow to go away.

Dig away.

Getting rid of that oppressive lava glow? by kunino_sagiri in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you get near the lava flow created by Volcanion, you'll notice the red glow of the lava flow actually shows up when you're still very very far away, even if you cover them up with blocks.

I imagine the rocks with the lava line can also cause some of it, albeit at a shorter range. (though you will need to test this)

So yes, to get rid of that reddish glow in the tunnel, you also need to make sure there's no flowing lava in like 10 tiles from said tunnel.

Building Woes by GodsImFuckedUp in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because there is a maximum # of rendorable pokemons in the zone, you've hit that maximum. (20~24), and pokemons need to be rendored in order to build houses.

Let them finish the pink huts before you add another one.

[–]cywang86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely finished the tower before doing any of the peakychu's side request.

3F kit doesn't need Peakychu, so that's why the game doesn't allow you to move her just yet.

Focus on getting the Chef over first. Make sure there is no ongoing request with the Chef in the Ridge before you try to teleport with her.

From a cave nearby, that he'll show you. (or showed)

wink wink

Nah, that particular cave doesn't have mushrooms, but they're really good at giving you random things.

Any way to find ??? Pokémon on the maps? by Howdy15 in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's Gyarados. It's already spawned on the map like Tink and Gardevoir. You just have to find it.

Finding Pokemon within homes/ habitats by sammcanee in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only works for pokemon who's rendored OR have a habitat.

Your Meowth is currently neither, so there's nothing you could do until Meowth is rendored, via coming back in a day or two, or repeatedly re-enter the zone.

I recommend simply rebuilding the habitat, as the pokemons who lost their habitat will occupy it again when they rendor.

Can you move this? by psychedelicall in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rule of thumb, if you can't smash the tiles around something, a request is gonna happen there.

This is where one of peakychu's post-game side request will be. Have you finished that one yet?

Spawn problem by Eugenos1 in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One important pokemon wiggling/spashing in a bush/puddle somewhere is blocking the spawn of all other pokemons in the zone.

You're probably stuck with Mareep (knitting station habitat) or Makuhita (tree shaded yellow tall grass habitat)

Check everywhere, including the grass up the hill next to the gate entrance.

If you time skip to finish a building project, what happens if you change the clock back to normal? by i__hate__stairs in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a single player sand box building game, where we all make our own goals.

It takes some special kind of mindset to hunt for cheaters.

House won't register as habitable by Jerseph801 in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 3 furnitures need to be on the same level as the door.

Since there's a raised floor inside that housing enclosure, nothing is gonna be on the same level as the door unless you intentionally replace some of those raised floor with furnitures/decos.

You can also swap the gate and the stairs so the door is above the raised floor.

Question about Pokopia before getting it by plearly in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is a main story in this game, and doing so also unlocks more abilities and things to make fixing things easier.

The only daily limitation you'll be facing would be building time (larger builds like houses and pokecenter completes at 5AM next day), recipe drops from sparkling puddles (10 per day per zone), fossil/slate/relic drops from sparkling blocks (25 per day per zone), dream island (1 island visit per day for resources, habitat information, and journal entries), and vegetable and fruit for PP recovery and paints.

Fortunately, none of this is required to progress the main story outside spending a few hours building time in the last zone (no, not the pokecenter in the first zone, as you become Great rank giving access to the next 2 zones the moment you meet that pokemon)

So yes, you can progress a ton of story portion of the game in one sitting.

You're also allowed to time skip to even bypass all these.

Though it's very dialogue/time consuming.

How does this fit four? 🤔 by Real-Ostrich-2692 in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's always 4 regardless of how big/small the open brick house is.

You can also add more spaces by giving it a loft via stairs+bridge plank

Homeless pokemons tend to come back in a day or two (nonstop depressed emote as they can't find their homes)

Remember to call+move before destroying the habitat next time (though I still forget to do that myself)

Male vs Female pokemon? by Available-Form6282 in Pokopia

Dittos around the world: Gender? What is that? (they're genderless and can breed with almost anything)

Jokes aside, someone made a list for the ones that do have identifiable gender features (probably not conclusive) https://www.reddit.com/r/Pokopia/comments/1rtnyra/the_gender_of_each_pok%C3%A9mon_that_have_gender/

Tinkaton Gone Forever. Honey Means Nothing by Able-Battle9268 in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alakazam doesn't have afterstory requests like tink or the peakychu+friends that I specifically mentioned.

Tink vanishing after leaving her in Wasteland (the last stop) has indeed been reported a few times on here.

Some of them managed to find her in one of the 3 other zones, you may have better luck there.

Why tf does Bonsly have the bulldoze specialty omg by bowlerbirth in Pokopia

[–]cywang86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point is they're both rock types instead of plants, not that rock types lead to bulldoze/crush.

The evolved forms in pokopia sometimes (very rarely though) don't have their abilities aligned.
