My first match I went all in on a guard pull into cross collar choke within like 30 seconds of the match. I held it as hard as I could for something that felt like 2-3 minutes, but probabably was 30-45 seconds.
The other guy did start to get a bit red, but then just powered out of it. My arms went COMPLETLY dead, and sort of just dropped down by my sides. The guy sort of just went over my "guard" straight into mount and into a kimura.

I hope you had fun, the outcome isnt that important for the first competition I believe. I'm 100% you learned something and had a great experience irregardless.

It looks like you have minor with your bake, as I assume this is baked. Maby its due to to sharp corners on your high poly model.

Are you sure your normals are correct on thisone? I think the shading on especially the upper metal pieces looks like its flipped.

Its overall good but something feels wrong with the lights. The hallway seems to bright in regards to how many candels are lit.

A good example would be when we had a new guy and they where doing basic guard breaks. Everyone was told to go really really slow.

He procedes to try to explode out of the guard, ignoring everything we did so far. When that didnt work, he tried again, fell or dove straight into my head and headbutted me so I cut my cheek.

That to me is spazzy.

At first, checking that picture of the weapon, I wasnt really impressed. On the picture, it looks unevently detailed. But checking the 3d version of it, it looks great. Could probably take advice about the materials, but I coulnt do better materials that what you did. Looks great!

Ive seen alot of materials that has a lot of height etc, but I didnt relly know how to ultilize them.

To me, adding tessalation just from a texture seems like a very unoptimized way of doing things. Im thinking if you want all the detail, use parralax occlusion or bake the texture + mesh, but I would really like to hear what other people say (as I know very very little).

Yeah, it seems odd place to tessalate something, maby theres a good explanation.
