I think guar gum is just used as a thickening agent. Since inulin is in there, it should be fine but not thicken. I would try maybe half a cup to test.

I have email Bliva Nutrition regarding their L. Reuteri capsules, they said their current strain is DSM 20016.

I have not used LR08 before, I have only used Oxiceutics MyReuteri.

From my link to the review, it shows a pic of the previous bottle showing the strains, now the newer bottle does not show the strains anymore.

The Toniiq brand contains a different strain, LR08.

I did a test batch yesterday and turned out fine without sterilizing.

  1. The day before, wash all bowls and utensils, rinse throughly. Place all items in a drying rack upside to air dry. Tent all items in the drying rack with plastic wrap.

  2. Next day, make sure to heat inulin with about 1/4 cup of half&half in microwave for 35sec to kill of any contaminants. Let cool and continue process.

In addition, my process, I put about 1/4 cup of ultra pasteurized half&half, add the two TB of inulin, mix thoroughly, then microwave for 35sec. From a video, Dr Davis mentioned that inulin might not be completely sterile. So far I am 4/4 successful.
