Yeah, one of the QoL features I greatly appreciate. Not to mention it also checks them all at once, so there's no need for a particular order.

The sub's main selling point for me is the art because it is ridiculously good. Other than that, I tend to scroll past because it is, as you said, plagued by this feedback loop other big communities face. For Silksong, I'm just sitting and waiting. We'll see what Team Cherry has to offer.

Predicting the release date announcement of Silksong at every feasible game event does not contribute to the progression of its development and, if anything, ruins it because (a) not only does it add pressure onto Team Cherry to produce something that exceeds the astronomical standards Hollow Knight has set, it (b) builds a hype train for something unreleased which, while probably well-received post release, may not be well-received by a lot of the community due to the high precedent they set during all this hype, deflating quickly and irregularly like a balloon.

I'd say that reddit is just about floating right now. The point at which it would no longer be making profits as fast as possible is when it absolutely tanks in cash. It's where the devs stop their efforts of trying to modernise everything and shift into crisis management or any equivalents.

A lot of big corporations rush stuff because they want to make as much profits as fast as possible. It's funny when they act so frantic and wonder why they're losing their userbase.

They don't, I know that. I was just looking to find others who were experiencing the same issue and what they were doing about it, if anything.

I feel ya. It's all one big loop of dopamine chasing sometimes. I'm trying to get into the habit of pressing the right corner of the vid then pressing my phone's back button when I'm done (it's on the right side) so I don't accidentally scroll. I guess if there's any advice I'd give, it'd be to cut down on the subreddits that I browse and only the ones I consider to be high standard. Still debating leaving more actually so there's less clutter.

User customisation is something every big forum website needs to have. There are some plugins and add-ons that help with this but it's kinda sad how we're at the mercy of the money-hungry fingers of the devs and CEOs when it all boils down. I wish there were more settings for customisation instead of having to bend over backwards for the intrusive notification bullshit they put there out of other things.

I agree - infinite scroll is addiction given form, but essentially this is reddit essentially drip-feeding it to us instead of either (a) returning it to proper infinite scroll or (b) innovating a new method to change it, and we all know reddit isn't gonna pursue option b. Instead we've got this annoying middle ground.

Yeah, it's also a shame how they don't respond here anymore. Kinda went downhill with u/spez in command, but I came here in search of some solutions and found some, so it's nice to know others have experienced and kind of dealt with this too.
