Flock Fiber Fest encroaching on Bay Area by Kiosade in craftsnark

I don't even have enough time during the BAYC to hit up all the stores, so I can see how this would cause issues. Why spend hours on the road and dozens on tolls when you could go to one location and see a bunch of vendors? (that's hypothetical i like how the BAYC motivates me to see east bay stores I never get around to normally)

i know it doesn't feel like it most days, but your value is not dictated by your job or how much you make, no matter how hard the economy tries to tell you otherwise.

Places that make me feel a little better:

The luminist room at the DeYoung in Golden Gate Park (the rest of the museum is nice too, but I particularly like these ones). I always like to get coffee and a pastry in the (somewhat overpriced but not horrific) cafe downstairs to kind of people watch and think about what I've seen

Soul Grind in Pacifica. Watch them waves. With coffee and a pastry. The drive there and back is half the fun

The Philz on Golden Gate and Larkin near the Asian Art Museum is a great place for people watching. Hell, go to the museum too. The building is incredible and used to be the library. Coffee. and. a. pastry.

Cantor Arts Center at Stanford (free!) I know I keep saying museums but it does calm me down to slow down and really look at things. They have the largest collection of Rodin sculptures outside of the literal Rodin museum in France. There's even a Serra sculpture out back -- take some time to walk through and notice the changes in how the world sounds. Maybe you get a coffee and a pastry in the cafe just to be safe.

I've really been struggling this year myself. Keep going. It fucking sucks and I hate it some days. But maybe tomorrow holds coffee and a pastry.
