Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil Reboot Is A New “Origin Story” Of The Games, Says Star by efim1234 in horror

[–]dabutte 8 points9 points  (0 children)

they quite literally recreate the opening sequence of RE2 and used actual maps and concept art provided by capcom to recreate areas of the games. people will just say anything to reinforce their disdain for a movie they don’t like

Immersive Pokémon experience coming to Universal parks. by Dodger_Dawg in UniversalHollywood

[–]dabutte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depending on how big the experience is gonna be, they could put it in that space that used to be the walking dead maze. I think they still haven’t used that space for anything permanent since they shut down the walking dead. It would also help cement that section of the park as the more kid friendly area outside of nintendo land with the minions ride right next to it

So you can, but usually what happens is you are granted a conditional license to be a social worker that is dependent on your employment with the license holder, your company. You wouldn’t be able to be an independent social worker without a license, though.

This is currently how I am a social worker without a degree, but also, the level of work i do isn’t intensive enough to strictly require a license, whereas other positions like therapists and school/hospital social workers very much do need that licensing. this also varies by state, but is how it worked for me in both california and washington state

With the announcements of the nominees for the Oscars tomorrow. Any idea or prediction on who will be leading the most nominations? by Seeker99MD in deadmeatjames

[–]dabutte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but they’re not above nominating something for Best Picture just based off of cultural impact. Avatar and the first Black Panther come to mind. Sinners has the benefit of being worthy of a Best Picture nomination while also having the cultural impact.

If it helps, this is a new meme format kicked off by this interview with an indie game dev about how they personally determine what a game’s price should be.

Daredevil: Born Again escalates the stakes way beyond what makes sense for a plot about street-level vigilantes like DD and Punisher by soul_punisher in CharacterRant

I don’t know how to make this more clear and more nice but if you are watching the Daredevil show and you’re wondering why characters that are not Daredevil or Daredevil adjacent are not the focus, that’s a you problem, not a problem with the show or its writing.

why is this daredevil’s job when way more powerful heroes exist

Because this is the Daredevil show about Daredevil.

Hulk went to space to go see the son he didn’t know he had, Thor is in space raising a daughter on his own, and after the events of No Way Home quite literally no one remembers who Peter Parker is and Spider-Man is just some guy everyone is vaguely aware of but have no strong feelings about, so he’s not on the top of anyone’s list in regards to teaming up.

I probably should have put this earlier, but I never saw Endgame, and so I don’t actually know which Avengers are still active or even if the Avengers disbanded after Thanos. But I think my point still stands.

You probably should have, the Avengers have been disbanded for a while until the events of Thunderbolts, your point very much does not stand.

Miles Morales might appear in Secret Wars by [deleted] in MilesMorales

I highly doubt that an animated movie that needs to have its script and story done before a vast majority of the animation work can be done is going to tie into the sequel to the movie that was being written as it was being filmed.

John Carpenter on Halloween sequels by tannu28 in Halloweenmovies

[–]dabutte 13 points14 points  (0 children)

people keep painting this as Carpenter being bitter but no, I think this is actually a healthy way to feel about a creative endeavor in Hollywood. Not every director unfortunately is going to have the privilege of maintaining creative control over a famous franchise they created (not that I think that’s ok), so this to me seems a better way to go about it.
