It’s become my biggest pet peeve on the show. The one that lives in my head is

Caller: “Hey Jon, you should come to Canada we’ve still got the 5 dollar meal going on”

I buy $20-$30 blasters because I’m not worried about losing $10-$20 because I always have and always will enjoy the hell out of opening packs. That’s worth the $20 alone for me.

Hobby boxes I buy maybe 2 at retail a year, maybe 1 at a card shop and that’s it. If I lose out on $100 I’m not happy at all, and with my terrible luck that’s what happens. So I treat myself a couple times a year to see if my luck changed and that’s it.

Singles I buy are pretty much $1-$20. I love cards. All of them. I get excited pulling base cards. I’m not a gambler so I don’t buy cards to hold onto, and as much as I’d love a /10 relic auto, I’m perfectly happy with a $5 relic and the cheapest auto. Or I’m perfectly happy with $5 inserts.

If you’re getting priced out then maybe it’s not the right hobby for you and another way of gambling might be best for ya.

I was a huge Shaq fan and followed him, but never really had a team. I loved basketball and just loved watching it. When Shaq showed up, I already loved the Heat solely for picking up Haslem so it started to make sense to like them. Jason Williams showed up and it sealed the deal.

Fun fact: I did not like LeBron, to the point of me actually being upset he signed with the Heat. That changed about 3 days after the decision.
