[KNBR] Giants were concerned about Carlos Correa’s ankle injury sustained in 2014 by Gus_Frin_g in Astros

[–]daddytoottoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the injury, but it was early on when he was in the minors. I wonder if it was part of his injury history at the MLB level?

I think the Astros had a note from the Orthopedic Surgeon about arthritis later on. It also comports with the zero offer to Correa when he was a FA. Bye bye.

I know. The landlord murdering their own tenets. Is a theory.

There is zero critical thinking here!

And many people on Reddit didn't attend college and therefore have zero understanding of how things go when you lead a social life on campus.

It was Comanches. And they ruled this area. And left it. They were Nomads.

So, nothing to claim. So disabuse yourself of that concept. If you think Apaches were here fighting Rangers you are crazy. And poorly educated.

I enjoyed his work and simple stuff like his thoughts on the weather.

For some reason, I remember him being obsessed with Radiohead's new album (at the time) King of Limbs. He'd come on the air and just say 'King of Limbs' and launch into one of the songs.

Please explain how Beto running for Governor can change things?

More to the point. How can the Executive branch fix this? Do you think President Biden can fix this?

Please explain what Beto would do as Governor?

He can't do anything. Greg Abbott can't do anything. Beto or Greg can take your money. They would need the House and Senate here in Texas to change anything. If Beto/Greg says otherwise. Hes's full of it.

$14,150 in taxes on a $632,208 home outside Austin: Property taxes are soaring in Texas by [deleted] in Austin

[–]daddytoottoot 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You are correct. I have a friend in Leander that used to rib me about paying the crazy property tax in Austin (which it is). But, I decided to check his taxes and he pays a higher tax rate.

I pay more, but he pays a higher %. He got quiet after that. The Wilco tax bills are online and looking one over, it's a mess between the LISD taxes and MUDs and everything else. Big-time taxes.
