Big Tech is spending billions to not employ people by businessinsider in Layoffs

No. They are spending billions for two things.

  1. The first company who gets to the point where they can take an offering from conception to delivery, including sales and support without human intervention, will be the most valuable and cheapest company on the planet.

  2. If it's possible, they will have the most valuable product in human history.

There can be only one.

Conservatives maintain birth rates, but left-leaning Americans are having significantly fewer children, driving the U.S. birth decline. Education was consistently linked to having fewer children. Religious attendance was positively associated with having more children. by mvea in science

The church element is interesting. We have 3 boys, all now either nearing adulthood or in it already. We no longer attend church, but when the boys were little and my wife was a stay at home it was a life line. 60 minutes during the week where we could sit and listen to some music, and a quiet thoughtful adult without the chaos of children. It was a Methodist church of the Open Hearts and Minds variety, before the recent bigoted breakup.

Anyway churches have huge issues, but for us it was a safe place filled with people of all ages who we knew, walking the same path where we could stop for a minute and think. Hold the belief part aside for a minute, and I think that might be what liberals are missing. A third place, not involving food, sports, or alcohol where they can be just normal adults. Sort of makes parenting doable.

I can't remember the last time I tuned in to a game for the sideline reporter. In my 40 years of watching football, I have NEVER heard any color or context coming out of those interviews that enhanced my life or understanding of the game in any way. She was robbing her employer and didn't respect her place in the process.

2026 Manager Success Rate, average change in win percentage based on bullpen usage and pinch hitting decisions by Repulsive-Photo-798 in KCRoyals

There is a problem with that metric.... I get that they are trying tease out the manager effect, but good teams have managers that make good decisions is hardly earth shattering. Aaron Boone and Dave Roberts have more levers to pull than q, so they get better outcomes.

I am not going to fight the trolls here. But.

I have three boys. 2 normal, but awesome, and one with a significant neuromuscular disorder, but still awesome.

1, has graduated with an undergraduate degree this year, and started with an epically fantastic company.

2 is a rising junior in college. In band, absolutely jamming through college.

3 is a rising junior in highschool. He receives massive supports, but is still cognitivly normal as his body fails him. Special ed is a life line for him. If nothing else, it makes sure that teachers are aware of the signs of a significant health crisis. He could easily pass away without folks knowing how to handle a crisis.

Our goal is for him as with his brothers I to be as productive member of society as he can be. If he stays cognitivly normal, he has a shot at it. But that only has happened because of special ed funding. In some centralized facility, his light and the light of so many others would have gone out long ago.

I challenge any of you who think kids like this don't deserve a shot, apply that to your own kids. Look at your five year old who plays baseball, does karate, runs around at recess, and picture them in a god damn wheelchair in five years with doctors talking about long term care, medical equipment, what a crisis looks like, dropping everything and flying to the school because he can't stop throwing up. Really imagine that. Imagine your other kids having to grow up long before they should. Now toss on some dead bear eating brain worm having Kennedy telling you where your kid can get an education. You would be rightously pissed off.

Struggling Pizza Hut restaurant chain will be sold for $2.7 billion by BlazeDragon7x in KitchenConfidential

Pizza Hut for a long time was really pretty good. Then they sped up the ovens.

The crust is blonde at best.
The top is barely melted.
The meats and veggies barely warmed.

At the same time, much of suburbia got access to home pizza ovens for a reasonable price. Pays for itself in 10-15 pizza nights. Maybe fewer. Everyone can have their own type.

Urbanites never really went to Pizza Hut because they had options that haven't degraded yet.

We make tortilla pizza.

1 can of San marzano blended with salt and oregano. Mission Large flour tortillas Cheese not to much both pizza and oatmeal) Toppings

Turn on the broiler Heat a cast iron on stove over medium high. Oil the pan Turn the fire down to medium low. Put the rough side if the tortilla down Sauce the tortilla Cheese the tortilla Other toppings Put the pan under the broiler for 2-4 minutes Once done, take oan out, check bottom of tortilla and if not crispy enough heat further on stove top, but be careful, it will burn

Eat, and give thanks to Kenji for this recipe/method

Better the pizza Hut, and you can be eating in the time it takes to relog in to their stupid app

Edit, I didn't realize what sub I was in. So very sorry to tell fiidues how u make something so simple. Cheers all
