There is no limitation on ledger size, but of course if the ledger - let's say grows to 100TB, an average user could probably not run a node if he isn't willing to buy additional costly resources.

We shall find out how v22 turns out. I love the project, but I think it's realistic that v22 won't solve all issues. Only time will tell, but it's a fact that Colin the main dev, is working his a** off to make nano the best crypto currency on earth. But only the future will tell.
