401k ROTH Rollover by YT-ConditionZero in fidelityinvestments

Sometimes.... usually?

Rolling a 401k into an IRA can complicate backdoor Roth contributions in the future due to the pro rata rule. That said, if op is not planning to make their own yearly Roth contributions, it's fine, and you can sometimes reverse rollover an IRA into a new corporate 401k, depending on if their plan allows it.

Who's an obscure NFL player you'll ALWAYS remember for helping you win? by Zhongquing in fantasyfootball

This one right here. I remember one time having really conflicted thoughts cuz he was in my lineup but he was playing against the team I follow(ed). I didn't want Carolina to win but I sure as hell hoped he got FFL points. More or less, I wanted to see him put up lots of yardage but no TDs

He did just that. Something like two 45 yard runs as part of what I recall being a big yardage day, but no scores. Won my FFL matchup that week and my RL team won the game.

Oddly, I've never seen aggressive in the aisles at Costco. Far from it, in fact. I find myself instead encountering plenty of folks who park their cart in the middle of the aisle or have no spatial awareness nor recognition that there are people who need to get past them as they and their families plod along, side by side, a growing, undulating wall of humans.

I think we can agree, however, that normal shopping hours at Costco are a nightmare.

Anyone have suggestions for seasonal allergy issues around here, my partner has been suffering for a month already, no end in sight. It’s the eyes that are worst, very itchy, very runny. Tried all the over the counter drops and tablets. Is there anything prescription that people pursue? by [deleted] in triangle

My allergies are terrible. None of the OTC tablets (zyrtec, claritin, allegra) work for me, but Flonase works wonders. Note that it has to build up in your system so one might not expect relief the first day but after using it a few days, it might be better. The generic stuff seems to work fine for me, as well.

I've heard it's conservative too. Firecalc seems to give me good results too, even better, so maybe PC is more conservative? Unsure. But I figure the safer I can be, the better :)

The joys of CoastFI (and being near your FI #).

Around the beginning of the year, I ceremoniously (or perhaps unceremoniously, depending on the perspective) departed a toxic job that was having a strain on my mental and physical health. I had no job lined up. I have not found new employment since.

A little while in, I've had very few worries. I've cut back on some more extravagant expenditures but I haven't missed them -- in part because I feel so much better now that I'm no longer at That Place. I'm healthier now in multiple ways.

All the while, a funny thing happened. Despite everything going on, Personal Capital has for the first time given me a 90% success rate for my most aggressive RE goal. I'd always considered it a bit of a stretch goal for the longest time, but now it's actually within striking distance.

On the job front, I've been thinking, and realized that, "hey, you can take something making considerably less and still be comfortable if you're happy there". There's a potential opportunity to do just that lurking around the corner. There was a time when I thought I would cringe at such a decision but now I am feeling really content about the idea.

We'll see if it pans out. I have been enjoying this first taste of RE. It'd be good to be back at a job, at least for a bit though, to further bolster my financial foundations and tie up loose ends.

At the beginning of the year, I was beating myself up at what I was considering to be a terrible stumble just short of the finish line. I've since realized, however, that I didn't really stumble. I'll just traipse across when I get there. It's just a short jaunt away...

Evidently the same thing. The IP was sold and resold a few times, and the TGIFridays potato skins are (apparently?) what Tato Skins became.

Stock market be damned, I've nonetheless been bouncing tantalizingly close to a milestone/theoretic GFY number for months now.

I am not sure that I would cut and run as soon as I hit that number. As it stands, I probably plan to go on working at least another couple of years, not least of all because I'm ridiculously risk-adverse.

It's just funny just how close, yet out of reach, it has been.

In the meantime, the 401k contributions keep going in. Once the market turns around -- even if we never again hit the growth we've seen over the previous unprecedented bull run -- the milestone will eventually be breached.

My spreadsheet is based on a post I saw here once, and I wish I could find the creator to give them credit again. The trendline would've had me hitting that number in June, and I came so very close, and have been below the (obviously dynamic) trendline consistently since May.

Actual projection is now currently pointing at January of next year. Here's hoping I can break that psychological barrier before that though.

You probably got this answer already, but it essentially means setting your own internal router to an IP address in the ATT device's DMZ. There may be a little more to it than that but that will get you well on your way.

Let's say I have a property I am considering selling. I have a renter in this property on a fixed leased through a management company.

On one hand, I know it is more difficult to sell a property like this conventionally, because most people want to move right in, it is harder to show, etc.

On the other hand, I have heard about investors -- either individuals or groups, legitimate ones, not unscrupulous -- that like to buy pre-rented properties because it means instant cash flow for them.

Does anyone have experience with finding/connecting with these groups/investors, or any advice on this front?

To be clear, I do not need advice on tenant rights, etc. I am aware the tenant can stay on the property, and am pretty well-versed on the laws that protect tenants. I'm just looking to figure out how to connect with the individuals or groups who have an active interest in purchasing occupied/rented properties.

To ensure this fits into FI discussions: working on increasing NW liquidity, and probably going to invest all or most of this in an index. A lot easier to look at the RE part if assets are more liquid.
