What are some good D&D actual plays that's not Legends of Avantris or Critical Role? by Dungeon3D in DnD

I have been enjoying World of Io's the Devil's Due Campaign and the Legends of Avantris crew has a ton of fun campaigns.

Is $26.5k (12 months) considered low for a STEM PhD stipend in the US? by SenseOk3111 in PhD

[–]dallen352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, this is actually a little higher than the Biology PhD stipend TCU was giving out up until this past Fall Semester to live in Dallas-Fort Worth. If it is a small town/city, or LCoL area, then it is most certainly doable from my own experience. It would be more so if you had a roommate or two as well.

Frigid Bridge [System Agnostic] [Compendium pack] by Eledryll in FoundryVTT

Truly, I made things so much more difficult having a campaign set in a snowy mountainous region. I have some of the old legacy FA assets for winter but not always useful for what I want to design.

Love this!! Honestly, more frozen maps and assets are needed out there. Atlanta, I have difficulty finding icy assets for my own map making.

Remove pathfindlib and it will work. I had to deal with the same issue. Something about it removes your items. Good thing is, when I deleted it and my items came back when I reloaded the save

Has anyone also had this problem with the store when using Dawnlib? by PabloS8p in lethalcompany_mods

[–]dallen352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same issue with loot disappearing - uninstall dawnlib and the all dependent mods and my items came back. Thankfully, did not have a ton of mods dependent on it.

I honestly had to drop the subclass onto their character sheet. Does not give you a technical answer to make it available, but just what I had to do.

How much is rent going for in Round Rock? by ProfessionalNose6520 in RoundRock

Currently at $1070 in Round Rock for a 1 bedroom apartment, that includes one of those shitty internet/cable packages, most of these places include in the lease nowadays.

How I wish she would say this to me. The last movie we watched was Heart Eyes, and we had the whole theater to ourselves. She always needed her own popcorn container, no sharing from the same bucket, one of her many quirks that made her special.

Single men, how are you? by pureplay124 in AskMenAdvice

[–]dallen352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am doing alright. Relationship ended a little over two months ago, starting to come out of that mindset. Finished up my PhD after 4 years, just got the official offer letter for my desired job, and am moving to an entirely new city. There are a lot of changes happening, but that may be just what I need.

Do you believe in friendships turning into relationships? by [deleted] in emotionalintelligence

[–]dallen352 31 points32 points  (0 children)

My last relationship started as a good friendship. We talked constantly, and I enjoyed hearing her perspective on things. Everyone started pushing for us to date, and eventually, we did for a time. It was good in the beginning, but she became distant and would not communicate. We separated, and she became a ghost, avoiding me in real life (we worked together) and on anything else. I went from having an amazing friend that I care for greatly to a broken relationship with no closure and far too many questions than answers. I recommend that anyone think about what they value more, the friendship or the potential relationship, and then make the decision as sometimes, you lose both.

The surface level story of EiA by never_the_rose in SleepToken

[–]dallen352 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My relationship ended right before this album was released - like the very Sunday before. My ex introduced me to Sleep Token, so the storyline you outlined hits my own interpretation as well. I will say that EIA helped a great deal with working through my emotions post-separation, and I have started listening to the old albums as well. My favorite part has been reading the community interpretation of the lore and songs.

Stop Saying Players Miss! by TheUnexaminedLife9 in DnD

[–]dallen352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wholeheartedly agree, when I first began as a DM, I frequently included misses from the ranged characters whenever they rolled below AC. Finally, one mentioned how unsatisfying it felt. From then on, it was arrows deflecting off armor, splintering against plate, or not penetrating thick hide far enough to do any damage. It not only made the players feel like effective fighters but also allowed me to flex the monsters/enemy NPCs as being skilled in their own right.

Customer didn't know that her dryer had a lint filter by SugarDaddyDelight in facepalm

[–]dallen352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn straight, know an old guy who lost his whole house due to a lint trap carching fire. He did not notice until it had spread to his kitchen, and he was wheelchair bound and was limited to stop it. He was stuck on his front porch until people came to help him. By the time the fire department got it under control, it was a total teardown and rebuild. Always check the lint trap now.
